Dobbscoin Core v0.11.0 — LWMA-3 Restoration (fork at block 1,888,808)
🎯 Hard fork: LWMA-3 + max-reorg-depth at mainnet block 1,888,808
Activation: block 1,888,808 (~2026-07-16 at 120s target spacing).
All node operators and miners MUST upgrade before block 1,888,808 or they will be forked off the network.
What changes at block 1,888,808
- DiffMode V5 (LWMA-3, N=60 window, T=120s target) supersedes DigiShield V4
- 100-block max-reorg-depth finality: chains that would reorganize past 100 buried blocks of the active tip are rejected at consensus
Why
51%-attack defense. Rented-hash attacks against (BOB) now require >100 blocks of secret-mined work AND a competitive equilibrium-difficulty target — economically infeasible at NiceHash spot prices. Combined with the wBOB bridge's 288-conf deposit depth (~9.6h), money on the bridge is safe from any reorg shorter than that window.
Validation
- ✓ 7 Boost.Test cases asserting LWMA-3 math (all passing on this build)
- ✓ Live testnet validation (2026-05-21 → 2026-05-22): 250+ blocks past LWMA-3 activation, 60-block rolling solvetime held at 120s ± 1.6% vs 120s target. Zero rejected blocks, zero consensus splits, smooth handoff from DigiShield V3 → LWMA-3 bootstrap → equilibrium.
What does NOT change
- Subsidy: still 1.5 (BOB)/block forever (no halving curve change)
- Address format, RPC dialect, P2P protocol, wallet format
- 21,000,000 fake-cap myth remains debunked —
MAX_MONEYis still a 10B sanity ceiling, not a supply cap
