• Self-update now works on servers where the binary directory is not writable by the service user (e.g. /usr/local/bin owned by root). Downloads to system temp dir with cross-filesystem copy fallback.

• Binary file detection (null-byte check, returns 415)
• 1MB size limit for read/write
• System directory deletion protection (post-symlink-resolution)
• Path traversal prevention on the client side

• Agent self-update — Agent can now check GitHub Releases for new versions, download the correct binary for your platform, verify SHA256 checksum, and replace itself. Systemd auto-restarts with the new version.
