Extract the archive and move tayda-uv (or tayda-uv.exe) somewhere on your PATH, such as /usr/local/bin or ~/bin:
tar xzf tayda-uv-macos-arm64-1.0.0.tar.gz
sudo mv tayda-uv-macos-arm64-1.0.0/tayda-uv /usr/local/bin/
tayda-uv versionEach release carries a SHA256SUMS file; shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS in the download directory checks the archive against it.
macOS may refuse to run the binary the first time because it is not notarized. Either clear the quarantine flag:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /usr/local/bin/tayda-uvor open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway after the refusal.
Skip this if you downloaded a release.

Go 1.26 or newer. On macOS,
brew install goworks. - Git.
go install github.com/drlholloway/tayda-uv-artwork-processor/cmd/tayda-uv@latestOr from a clone, which is what you want if you plan to change anything:
git clone https://github.com/drlholloway/tayda-uv-artwork-processor.git
cd tayda-uv-artwork-processor
go install ./cmd/tayda-uvgo install puts the binary in ~/go/bin. If that directory is not on your PATH, add it:
# zsh (macOS default)
echo 'export PATH="$HOME/go/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.zshrc && source ~/.zshrc
# bash
echo 'export PATH="$HOME/go/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.bashrc && source ~/.bashrcCheck it works:

If you would rather not touch your PATH, build into the repo directory and run it from there:
go build -o tayda-uv ./cmd/tayda-uv
./tayda-uv enclosuresHomebrew installs Go at /opt/homebrew/bin/go. That is on the PATH of a normal login shell, but not always of scripts or editors launched other ways. If go is "not found" from a script, call it by its full path or prepend /opt/homebrew/bin to PATH for that command.
tayda-uv versionA release prints its number, tayda-uv 1.0.0 darwin/arm64. A build from a clone prints the commit it was made from. Bug reports ask for this line.
Download the new release, or for a source install re-run go install (from a fresh git pull if you cloned). Worth doing whenever Tayda revises their guide: the artboard table is transcribed from it and is the reason the tool exists. CHANGELOG.md lists what changed in each version.
Delete the binary. The tool writes no configuration or cache files anywhere.
