This minor MindForger release brings Notebook shelves, localization to 4 languages, lines sorting, winget packaging, Markdown export, non-ASCII links navigation, various fixes and small enhancements:

  • Notebook shelves
    • Single notebook tree was rewritten to custom notebook shelves - create as many named notebook shelves for notebooks you want to group as needed and add Notebooks to them explicitly.
  • Localization
    • Czech (cs_CZ) localization.
    • Mandarin Chinese (simplified, zh_CN) localization (LLM - not reviewed by native speaker).
    • Hindi (hi_IN) localization (LLM - not reviewed by native speaker)..
    • Spanish (es_ES) localization (LLM - not reviewed by native speaker)..
    • Preferences now let you pick the UI language - System default, English, Czech, Spanish or other available translation instead of following the OS locale.
  • Export
    • Notebook/Export/Markdown - export a Notebook to a file in Markdown format.
    • CSV export no longer freezes UI on big repo and/or slow(er) HW as export newly runs in the modal dialog w/ progress bar and it can be cancelled.
    • CSV export reported success even when the CSV file could not be written and it did not check whether the target CSV file already exists.
  • Edit
    • Edit/Sort Lines - sorts the selected lines - or the lines of the block under the cursor - alphabetically.
    • Improved Emoji insert dialog so that it can be used w/o mouse, emojis can be filtered by name, selected using arrows - which move by the visual rows across the dialog sections - and inserted w/ Enter or Ctrl-[number] shortcuts.
    • Changed in-app diagram support configuration from drop-down to checkbox.
  • Search
    • Improved performance of the find Note/Notebook by Name dialog on large repositories - filtering as you type is debounced and no longer reallocates Qt strings per keystroke. The list is newly filtered via a proxy/cache model which fixed a serious lag when using backspace.
