Agent Interface 0.1.1 fixes installation naming and Linux desktop behavior.

  • The command, archives and current package names use agent-interface.
  • Linux windows gain minimize, maximize/restore and close controls on the right, plus resize edges and caption double-click. macOS keeps its native controls.
  • Linux terminals use DejaVu Sans Mono to avoid the proportional font fallback that caused widely spaced characters.
  • Updates preserve existing libraries and settings and retire the earlier installer-owned launchers. The installer remains compatible with earlier release archives during the naming transition.
  • Existing ordinary terminals reconnect to the server that owns their saved session when current and legacy socket locations coexist. Failed discovery preserves the saved working directory and does not start a duplicate shell on another server.

Quit the app, then run this in your Linux/WSL or macOS shell:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/eandualem/agent-interface/main/install.sh | sh

This downloads a compiled app and verifies its checksum; no Rust, Zig or Python build tools are needed. See the installation guide for runtime prerequisites. On Linux/WSL, launch with "$HOME/.local/bin/agent-interface". On macOS, open ~/Applications/Agent Interface.app.

The Linux graphical regression fixture passed on Ubuntu 24.04 with an X11 window manager and software Mesa, covering launch, terminal output, maximize/restore, caption double-click, resizing, minimizing and closing. Windows 11 uses the Linux app through WSL 2/WSLg; acceptance of this updated build on Ubuntu 26.04/WSLg remains pending. There is no native Windows executable.

Archives cover Apple silicon and Intel macOS, and ARM64 and x86-64 glibc Linux. Each includes build metadata and dependency notices. The macOS app is ad-hoc signed and is not notarized. Rich HTML report rendering currently requires macOS.

Sheets remains in preview and is not included in this patch.

Agent Interface 0.1.0 is the first native desktop release for arranging tmux terminals and agent views in saved workspaces.

  • Native terminal panes, tabs and split layouts, with per-tab expansion.
  • Existing tmux session attachment, window selection and reconnection.
  • Optional Agent Backbone views and persistent diagnostic logging.

Install

Install tmux 3.3 or newer and the platform runtime prerequisites, then run:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/eandualem/agent-interface/main/install.sh | sh

The installer downloads a compiled app and verifies its SHA-256 checksum. Rust, Zig and Python are not required. The executable remains tmux-workspaces for compatibility.

Archives are provided for Apple silicon and Intel macOS, and ARM64 and x86-64 glibc Linux. Linux packages target Ubuntu 24.04 or newer with a graphical session. Windows 11 users can try the Linux package through WSL 2 / WSLg using the installation guide; this app's WSL compatibility remains unverified. There is no native Windows executable.

The macOS app is ad-hoc signed and is not notarized. Follow the installation guide if macOS asks you to approve its first launch. Rich HTML report rendering currently requires macOS.

Each archive includes build metadata and dependency notices. Download its matching .sha256 file if installing a manually downloaded archive. Quit the app before updating; saved layouts, settings and running tmux sessions are preserved.
