Trial Educator Login Guide

This guide explains how to use EZoom's public trial educator account, create a classroom, and invite students.

Trial account

  • Email: trial@ezoom.com
  • Password: trial@123
  • Meeting allowance: 30 minutes per meeting

The meeting timer starts when the educator launches the session. A deployment may also require a valid 30-day trial licence key before the application is unlocked. To request a key, email eozoe2025@gmail.com.

1. Open EZoom

Open your deployed EZoom address, such as http://localhost:3000, or use the EZoom cloud access.

If students will join from other devices on the same network, give them the host computer's LAN address rather than localhost.

2. Sign in as the trial educator

  1. Select Educator Sign In on the EZoom home page.
  2. Enter trial@ezoom.com in the email field.
  3. Enter trial@123 in the password field.
  4. Select Sign In.

The email field is intentionally blank by default, so type the complete address exactly as shown.

3. Create a classroom

  1. Enter your educator display name.
  2. Enter a meeting title and, if needed, a course name.
  3. Choose whether to enable the waiting room and student chat.
  4. Select Create Session Code.

EZoom creates a four-digit session code and a QR joining link.

4. Check the camera and microphone

  1. Allow browser access when prompted for the camera and microphone.
  2. Confirm that the camera preview is visible.
  3. Speak and verify that the microphone level responds.
  4. Choose the appropriate broadcast quality.
  5. Select Launch & Start Session.

Use HTTPS for remote deployments because browsers can block media-device access on insecure pages. Localhost is permitted for testing on the host computer.

5. Invite students

Share either the four-digit session code or the QR code. Students must:

  1. Open the EZoom address or scan the QR code.
  2. Enter their name and email address.
  3. Enter the session code.
  4. Answer the displayed math security question.
  5. Wait for educator approval if the waiting room is enabled.

6. Run the trial meeting

During the lesson, the educator can use the camera, live microphone, screen sharing, whiteboard, chat, Q&A, polls, resources, and participant controls. The trial meeting ends automatically when its 30-minute allowance expires.

Students may need to select Tap to Enable Live Host Voice once because browsers can block automatic audio playback.

Troubleshooting

  • Login rejected: Check that the address is trial@ezoom.com and the password is trial@123. Restart the deployment after changing environment variables.
  • Students cannot open the room: Do not share a localhost URL with another device. Use the host's LAN IP address or a public HTTPS address.
  • Camera or microphone unavailable: Grant browser permission, close other apps using the device, and use HTTPS or localhost.
  • Students cannot hear the educator: Confirm the live microphone is enabled and ask students to select the audio-enablement prompt.
  • Trial installation is locked: Request an authorised deployment trial key from eozoe2025@gmail.com.
