The Economy tab lets you control how coins and karma work in your stream. This is one of the most important tabs for keeping your economy fun and balanced.
These settings control how viewers earn coins while watching.
| Setting | What it does | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Starting Coins | How many coins new viewers start with | 100 |
| Base Coin Reward | Coins earned every 2 minutes if they're active | 15 |
| Subscriber Extra Coins | Bonus coins subscribers get | 5 |
| VIP Extra Coins | Bonus coins for VIPs | 3 |
| Mod Extra Coins | Bonus coins for moderators | 2 |
Tip: Higher base rewards = more engagement. Lower rewards = slower economy.
Karma is a score that affects how much viewers earn from coins and how "good" or "bad" their actions feel.
| Setting | What it does | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Starting Karma | Karma new viewers start with | 100 |
| Minimum Karma | Lowest karma a viewer can have | 0 |
| Maximum Karma | Highest karma a viewer can reach (you can raise this up to 1000) | 200 |
This system slowly drains karma over time so viewers can’t just sit at maximum karma forever.
Every X minutes (based on your Decay Interval setting), the mod checks all viewers and does the following:
-
Only affects viewers above Minimum Karma
If someone is already at or below your Minimum Karma setting, they are skipped. -
Takes a percentage of their current karma
The Decay Rate setting controls what percentage they lose.
Example: If Decay Rate is0.05(5%) and they have 180 karma, they lose180 × 0.05 = 9karma. -
Enforces a Minimum Decay Amount
If the percentage would result in a very small loss, the system uses your Minimum Decay Amount as a floor instead. -
Never goes below Minimum Karma
Decay will never push someone under the Minimum Karma value you set.
| Setting | What it actually does | Recommended (Gentle) |
|---|---|---|
| Decay Rate | Percentage of current karma lost each interval |
0.05 (5%) |
| Decay Interval | How often decay is checked (in real minutes) | 30 |
| Minimum Decay Amount | Smallest amount anyone can lose per decay tick | 0 |
-
Turn decay off completely → Set Decay Rate to
0 - Decay is percentage-based, not flat. Someone with 200 karma loses more per tick than someone with 50 karma.
- The Minimum Decay Amount acts as a safety net so decay never becomes meaningless.
- Decay only runs when the game is active.
Current Default Behavior (Recommended):
- 5% of current karma lost every 30 minutes
- Very gentle and fair for long streams
- Still prevents viewers from staying at max karma forever
Example:
- Decay Rate = 5%
- Decay Interval = 30 minutes
- Viewer has 120 karma
→ Every 30 minutes they lose 120 × 0.05 = 6 karma (above the minimum floor of 5).
These settings control how much karma viewers gain or lose when they interact with your stream.
Every karma change now follows this simple formula:
Final Karma Change = Base Value + (Event Price × KarmaEventPriceMultiplier)
-
Good / Neutral events → positive result (added with
GiveKarma) -
Bad / Doom events → positive loss amount (passed to
TakeKarma)
| Action | Base Value Used | Price Scaling | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Store Purchases |
KarmaPerStoreItem (per coin spent) |
Built-in (same multiplier logic) | Bigger purchases = more karma gained |
| Healing / Revives | Same as Store Purchases | Same as Store Purchases | Expensive heals give more karma |
| Good Events | KarmaGainPerGoodEvent |
+ (price × multiplier) | Fixed floor + price bonus |
| Neutral Events | KarmaGainPerNeutralEvent |
+ (price × multiplier) | Fixed floor + price bonus |
| Bad Events | KarmaLossPerBadEvent |
+ (price × multiplier) | Fixed floor + price penalty |
| Doom Events | KarmaLossPerDoomEvent |
+ (price × multiplier) | Heavy floor + price penalty |
| Military Aid | KarmaGainPerGoodEvent |
+ (price × multiplier) | Scales with wager size |
| Raids |
KarmaLossPerBadEvent (adjusted by type) |
+ (price × multiplier) | Bigger raids = bigger karma cost |
Key facts:
- The fixed base values (
KarmaGainPerGoodEvent,KarmaLossPerBadEvent, etc.) act as a minimum floor. - The new
KarmaEventPriceMultiplieradds the price-based portion on top. - Default
0.05= +5 karma per 100 coins spent (balanced default).
Option 1 – Pure price-based karma (most popular)
- Set all fixed base values to
0 - Set
KarmaEventPriceMultiplierto your desired value (e.g.0.05,0.08,0.12) These are %'s 5%, 8% 12% up to 500% → Karma is now 100% based on how much the viewer spent.
Option 2 – Hybrid (recommended for most streamers)
- Keep the fixed bases at the suggested values below
- Use
KarmaEventPriceMultiplier = 0.05(default) → You get a guaranteed minimum reward/penalty + extra scaling for expensive actions.
Option 3 – Fixed only
- Set
KarmaEventPriceMultiplier = 0→ Old-style fixed karma (no price scaling)
| Setting | What it does | Suggested Value |
|---|---|---|
| Karma per Store Item | Karma per coin spent in store | 0.35 |
| Karma Gain per Good Event | Base gain for good events | 5 |
| Karma Gain per Neutral Event | Base gain for neutral events | 1 |
| Karma Loss per Bad Event | Base loss for bad events | 12 |
| Karma Loss per Doom Event | Base loss for doom events | 25 |
| Karma per Event Price Multiplier | Price scaling multiplier | 0.05 |
Streamer Tips:
- Want bad events to feel punishing? Raise
KarmaLossPerBadEventand/or the multiplier. - Want store purchases to be the main karma source? Set the fixed event bases to
0and rely on the multiplier. - The multiplier is capped at
5.0 = 500%in the UI, but you can go higher via the config file if you want extreme scaling.
This lets you change what your currency is called.

At the bottom of the Karma section there's a big "Reset Karma Settings to Defaults" button.
This is very useful when you're experimenting. It instantly resets all karma values back to the recommended balanced settings.
| Goal | Suggested Settings |
|---|---|
| Slow & chill economy | Lower Base Coin Reward + Decay Rate 0.03–0.05
|
| Balanced / Default experience | Use current defaults (Decay Rate 0.05, Interval 30) |
| Fast & exciting economy | Higher Base Coin Reward + Decay Rate 0.08–0.10
|
| Punish bad behavior more | Increase Karma Loss per Bad Event and Doom Event |
| Reward good behavior | Increase Karma Gain per Good Event |
| Prevent max karma forever | Keep Decay Rate at 0.05 or higher + Interval 20–30
|
| Let one viewer go crazy | Raise Maximum Karma to 500–1000
|
| Very light / almost no decay | Set Decay Rate to 0.02 or lower |
