Play over the internet. The OpenWar3 Server (EU) is listed first in every copy's Servers List, and Create Game gains a Server: row under the map list — host there and anyone else running OpenWar3 sees your game and can join, with no addresses to type and no port forwarding. The lobby says "Hosted on: OpenWar3 Server (EU)" instead of printing a LAN address.
Units on a client move smoothly. Other players' units are drawn through a pose buffer on its own clock rather than glided between arrivals, so an uneven connection no longer makes them stutter, stall or drop out of their walk. Snapshots go to 20 Hz, cutting what a host uploads to a third.
The app wears the OpenWar3 wordmark as its icon, at every size Windows, macOS, Linux and the web ask for.
Fixes
Long games stop slowing down. A chaser that can find no way closer waits instead of re-searching every step, the model sync runs once a frame, collisions use a spatial grid, and detours are no longer bought for walks that already arrived or that only a crowd is blocking. In a twelve-player match at ~500 units: detour asks 28 → 4 a second, real detours landing after 5.6 s → 1.5 s, and the two largest costs in the game cut by two thirds.
Clicking a Haunted or Entangled Gold Mine selects the building, not the rock under it — with the mine's gold on its tooltip. An Acolyte sent at a mine that is still rising waits at the ring, and cancelling a rising mine hands the rock back.
Chain Lightning no longer throws a missile ahead of its bolts.
Sentry Ward and Stasis Trap are invisible and fade out after landing; a Stasis Trap lives its full 150 s instead of vanishing after 2.5.
Siphon Mana / Life Drain snaps at 800 range, and on an ally it gives life and mana instead of taking them.
The Mechanical Critter summons one of the map's own critters.
Custom maps keep their music: a map that stops a song (Extreme Candy War's intro, WarChasers' hero rescue) is no longer silent for the rest of the match.
An aimed spell is dropped when the same unit starts another one — no more stray Dispel reticle when a Priest's Heal fires.
Double-tapping - jumps the camera to your army; holding it rides along.
Picking an item up and setting it down in the inventory clicks.
Computer+ no longer plants a Sentry Ward where one of its wards already sees.
Desktop app: Alt (show health bars) no longer pops Electron's menu bar over the game.
Internals
The server's Railway configuration moves to Infrastructure as Code, so an ordinary push to main no longer redeploys the relay and ends every game on it.
Direct peer-to-peer (WebRTC) is written down as a plan in docs/multiplayer.md; the first internet test measured 130–150 ms hairpinning through Amsterdam.
