@elliotttate elliotttate released this 26 Aug 16:01

Frame-pacing update

  • Replaces the bursty millisecond sleep loop with a high-resolution deadline pacer at the native 60.0988 Hz SNES cadence.
  • Presents GDI frames on the deadline and re-anchors after external stalls instead of emitting catch-up bursts.
  • Adds live title-bar FPS plus desktop and headless benchmark telemetry.

Measured on the release build:

  • Active gameplay: 60.099 visual updates/sec; 999 of 999 framebuffer intervals changed.
  • Core throughput: 266.4 FPS, 3.742 ms average work, zero 16.639 ms deadline misses.
  • 50-second desktop gameplay run: 60.062 FPS, with 2 long intervals out of 3,003.
  • Original host comparison: 123 long intervals in only 10 seconds.

The package contains no ROM, game assets, or generated ROM-derived source. See BENCHMARKS.md in the repository and package for methodology.
