Releases: eltomato89/synclet
Release list
v0.1.7
- Multi-select in the web app: select files and folders with ⌘/Ctrl-click, Shift ranges, checkboxes or the keyboard. Then delete, move, copy and paste (⌘C / ⌘V), or download them as one ZIP. You can also drag them onto a folder or a breadcrumb: dragging moves them, ⌥/Ctrl copies.
- Background operations: copies, moves and deletes of many items run on the server. A panel shows their progress and lets you cancel; they survive a reload and a server restart. When a name is taken, Synclet asks: replace (the existing item goes to the trash), keep both, or skip, optionally for all remaining conflicts.
- Trash: restore or delete forever several entries at once.
- API: new endpoints
/sync/v1/operationsand/sync/v1/download-zip(SYNC_API §6.5, §8.5) and the error codeinvalid_target. Existing endpoints are unchanged. - Database: an additive migration (the new table
Operation). Back up the database before updating; after the migration you cannot downgrade.
The iOS, Android and macOS apps are unchanged.
v0.1.6
- Android app (new): native app for Android 10+ phones and tablets: file browser with previews, search, recent files, trash, share links and uploads; Synclet appears in the Android file picker and the Files app, and "Share → Save to Synclet" works from any app. Download
Synclet.apkbelow. Google Play testing is coming soon. - iPhone & iPad: public TestFlight beta — https://testflight.apple.com/join/NA3Aphqe
- Server:
DELETE /sync/v1/items/:idaccepts an optionalIf-Match(412conflictwhen the item changed meanwhile).
The macOS app is unchanged since 0.1.1.
v0.1.5
- Folder previews: in the web grid, folders show a mosaic of up to four thumbnails of the newest pictures (and other previewable files) inside, with a small folder badge. Computed only for the web grid (sync clients are unaffected) and bounded to the 200 newest files of a folder. Adds a database index (migration runs automatically at start).
- External storage no longer blocks the server start: file watchers start in the background, one at a time; a slow or hanging watch on a large network share delays neither the API, the periodic scans nor shutdown. Admin → Status shows "starting" while the watcher comes up. For SMB/NFS shares, "Watch for changes: Off (scan only)" is recommended (inotify doesn't see changes made on the NAS itself).
- Office autosave: open documents are written to the file every 5 minutes if they have unsaved edits (
OFFICE_AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL,OFFICE_AUTOSAVE=false). Download the newcompose.ymlto get this. - Docs: the address to put into
SYNCLET_TRUSTED_PROXIESbehind a published port (Docker gateway); without it the office editor shows "Download failed". - iPhone & iPad: public TestFlight beta — https://testflight.apple.com/join/NA3Aphqe
The macOS app is unchanged since 0.1.1.
Synclet 0.1.4
- The update check result in Admin → Status appears within seconds after a server start (previously up to a minute).
- Office: the healthcheck allows 10 minutes for the first start (fonts and themes are generated once), so Docker no longer reports the container as unhealthy meanwhile. Download the new
compose.ymlto get this.
The macOS app is unchanged since 0.1.1.
Synclet 0.1.3
Office on your Synclet domain. Euro-Office now runs by default under <SYNCLET_PUBLIC_URL>/documentserver — one domain, one compose.yml: set COMPOSE_PROFILES=office and OFFICE_JWT_SECRET in .env. The separate office subdomain is still available as compose.office.yml (stricter isolation, recommended for internet-facing installs).
Update check. Admin → Status shows the installed version and whether a newer release exists (SYNCLET_UPDATE_CHECK=off disables it).
Fix: Office behind a TLS-terminating reverse proxy no longer gets http/ws URLs (saves were refused).
Upgrading office users: download compose.yml and compose.office.yml from this release, or switch to COMPOSE_PROFILES=office — see deploy/README. Behind a reverse proxy: enable WebSocket support and allow large request bodies / long timeouts for the Synclet host.
The macOS app is unchanged since 0.1.1.
Synclet 0.1.2
Install without cloning the repository: prebuilt multi-arch container images (amd64 + arm64) on GitHub Container Registry — ghcr.io/eltomato89/synclet-server and ghcr.io/eltomato89/synclet-web. Download deploy/compose.yml and deploy/.env.example, fill in .env, run docker compose up -d. See the Quickstart.
Existing installs that build from source: see Upgrading an existing source-built install.
The macOS app is unchanged since 0.1.1 (Synclet.dmg, version 0.1.1, macOS 26 or later).
Synclet 0.1.1
Fix: the macOS app (and the iOS app) no longer crashes right after signing in through the browser / SSO.
Download Synclet.dmg (macOS 26 or later; signed with Developer ID and notarized).
Synclet 0.1.0
First public release.
macOS app (Synclet.dmg, macOS 26 or later): menu bar app with Finder integration via File Provider — on-demand files, offline pinning, team folders and external storage as spaces. Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
Server: self-host with Docker Compose — see the README and deploy guide.
iPhone/iPad: TestFlight beta coming soon.
