QF Solver 0.2.11 builds on the solver's existing finite-element, structural dynamics, nonlinear mechanics, and reproducible verification capabilities. This release adds a bounded experimental rotating-analysis workflow.

What changed since 0.2.10

  • Experimental serial gyroscopic modal analysis (rotating_modal) for straight linear BEAM2 shafts carrying centered rigid axisymmetric disks.
  • Experimental Campbell diagrams with complex-mode tracking, explicit branch lineage, degeneracy handling, and ambiguity diagnostics.
  • Prospective V&V execution identity, provenance, resume safeguards, and documentation/release-surface consolidation.

Verification

The bounded gyro evidence includes zero-speed recovery, local formulation and frame checks, an independent analytical disk-oscillator comparison, signed-speed spectral splitting, analytical tracking tests, and internal BEAM2 mesh-convergence evidence. GYRO-06 is internal mesh-convergence evidence, not independent physical validation.

At 100 rad/s, the high-frequency pair remains ambiguous. The tracker preserves this ambiguity instead of forcing branch continuity. Campbell and rotating-modal maturity remain EXPERIMENTAL. A 1× intersection is only a frequency coincidence or candidate location in the linear modal model; it does not establish forced-response amplitude, operational danger, or instability.

Scope and limitations

The rotating workflow is limited to a straight, connected, unbranched BEAM2 shaft with centered rigid axisymmetric disks, a fixed global axis, prescribed constant signed speed, small perturbations, an undamped/unprestressed model, and a serial dense SciPy QEP. Distributed shaft gyros, speed-dependent properties, centrifugal stiffening, unbalance response, contact, nonlinear rotors, PETSc/SLEPc, and MPI are outside this release scope. This is not a general rotordynamics solver.

Audited distribution assets

The selected audited distribution is the attached wheel and sdist, with the attached SHA-256 manifest. GitHub's automatically generated “Source code” ZIP/TAR archives are not selected audited assets and are not cleared; historical G03 remains FAIL_PRESERVED and the whole-repository archive remains uncleared. WP14 remains HOLD_NOT_PROMOTED.
