The Observatory of the Unseen is the scientific heart of Threadbare — a tall, leaning tower of brass instruments, mismatched lenses, and dog-eared notebooks, where the revered Threadbare Theorists chart what cannot quite be seen. Here, scholars measure the tension of memory, calibrate the half-lives of forgotten names, and aim their telescopes not at stars but at the soft blank places where stories used to be. Professor Alfeus Allpatch presides over many a feverish blackboard. The Observatory does not promise answers, but it insists, stubbornly, that the questions are worth asking.
