Manage Multiple Configurations, and Experience a Blazing Fast Workspace

This release introduces major updates to streamline your layout design workflow. You can now save, duplicate, search, and bulk-export multiple configurations natively from a new workspace sidebar, as well as import remote configurations and submodules directly from Gitea and Forgejo repositories (including Codeberg). The Monaco editor has been optimized for lag-free typing, and a two-step share modal lets you selectively choose which custom footprints and templates to bundle. The app can also be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for complete offline usage. Finally, we modernized our build stack, shrinking the built application footprint from 22MB to 8MB while doubling the production build speed.
What changed:
- Multi-configuration management: Natively switch, search, rename, duplicate, and bulk-compile multiple keyboard configurations in a new sidebar navigation panel
- Zero-lag Monaco editor: Implemented uncontrolled editor integration and a 500ms debounce to eliminate cursor jumps and interface lag while editing
- Gitea & Forgejo integration: Added an abstract provider registry to fetch configurations, footprints, and custom templates directly from Gitea, Forgejo, or Codeberg repositories
- Full offline PWA support: Install Ergogen Web UI as a standalone app with complete offline caching, background update notifications, and offline analytics queueing
- Smart footprint & template sharing: Added a two-step Share modal with background analysis that automatically filters out unused custom footprint libraries
- Modernized Vite build stack: Migrated toolchain to Vite and pnpm, shrinking the production built size from 22MB to 8MB and doubling build speed
- End-to-End binary STL pipeline: Feeds raw ArrayBuffers directly from the background compilation worker to the 3D preview and ZIP exporter, eliminating UTF-8 conversion overhead
- Performance optimizations: Flattened offset mappings for 22% faster binary STL parsing, and implemented centralized directory caching for 37% faster ZIP exports
- Shared link version checking: Detects and alerts users with a warning modal when a shared link is opened on an incompatible GUI version or custom Ergogen fork
- Interactive Version Badges: Added clickable GUI/Ergogen version footer buttons and a superscript beaker chip indicating custom development builds
- Curly-45 layout example: Added the popular Curly-45 column-staggered configuration under the "Miscellaneous" welcome menu examples, courtesy of @peterjc
