What's new

  • Settings reorganised into focused tabs (Dashboard, AI Visibility, AI Content, Insights, Settings) with subtabs, so Brand Identity, robots.txt, llms.txt, Markdown, WebMCP, OKF, Summary, FAQ, Author Box and Schema are easier to find
  • Post-edit UI split into three metaboxes (AI Summary, AI FAQ, AI Visibility). Each appears only on post types that use that feature, and saves are isolated so hiding one box cannot clear another's settings
  • Generate Summary and Generate FAQ directly in the post editor, no block or widget required
  • Classic Editor shortcodes: [rankready_summary], [rankready_faq], [rankready_author]
  • Homepage and blog-index Markdown as their own surfaces (/index.md), independent of the Pages post type
  • Site-wide AI Snippet default (max-snippet:-1), overridable per post
  • AI referral tracking now has a visible toggle on Insights
  • Opt-in Freemius integration for plugin usage data. You are asked on activation and can skip; an Opt Out link stays available on the Plugins page

Fixes

  • Post titles are flattened into /llms.txt, so an Author-level user cannot forge headings in it
  • Turning off llms.txt, Markdown or OKF no longer leaves a raw 404 on those URLs
  • Physical robots.txt stays in sync on the first save, not only on later updates
  • Exclude from AI now applies to Markdown and WebMCP as well as llms.txt and OKF
  • WebMCP stays off until explicitly enabled, including when onboarding is skipped
  • The setup wizard no longer shows Congratulations before setup is actually finished
  • Cache exclusions persist on the live upgrade path
  • Freemius Debug delete_user fatal on PHP 8.2+ avoided

Verification

  • WordPress Plugin Check: 0 errors, 35 warnings, run against the exact shipping zip
  • php -l clean across 190 files including the vendored SDK
  • 177 of 178 automated assertions pass on a clean WordPress 7.1 install
  • Conflict matrix run one plugin at a time: Yoast, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework, Slim SEO, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, WP Fastest Cache, Elementor, Polylang
  • No duplicate Article, FAQPage, WebPage, canonical or meta description under any combination
  • Upgrade from a real 1.2.1 install verified with zero data loss

Requires WordPress 6.9+ and PHP 7.4+. Tested up to WordPress 7.1.
