Type C keeps what you earn. The rise count is no longer capped at the interval: lines cleared beyond it bank, up to the two digits the panel shows, so a good stretch buys real room before the floor comes up.

Eighty colour palettes, thirty-two more than before. Every new one keeps a real colour in its darkest shade, no two are alike, and many cross from one hue to another on the way up — kingfisher, melon, poison, harbor dawn, synthwave.

An enhancements page. The settings screen's second page is named for what it holds, and every row on it opens a screen of its own: the ghost piece explains itself beside its switch, and a new fixes screen offers the cartridge's own quirks back — off by default, so the game stays faithful until you ask otherwise.

The first fix: the title keeps its music. On the cartridge, one attract demo silences the title screen for the rest of the session. Turn the fix on and the music returns when a demo ends.

The paused screen's RISE count is live. Pausing a Type C round shows the count as it stands, not the number the round started with.

Your saves carry forward. Settings and high scores from earlier versions are read and kept.

As before: the game asks for your Tetris ROM on first launch and reads its graphics and sound from it.
