Rebranding
What's in 1.3.0 (23 commits since the installed build) — for your release notes:
- New look: pixel-owl mascot throughout, animated flight-in opening with the Friday wordmark, per-screen poses, app icon and splash rebuilt from the sprite atlas
- Money: one screen with three tabs, net-worth card with change badge, wallet detail pages, repeats folded into the dashboard, custom categories, smarter natural-language parsing ("gym 250 from savings")
- Library: five bundled knowledge packs — money, study, science, history, emergency prep — installable offline in one tap
- Scan: values-found list, WHO-grounded guidance computed on-device, age picker above the score
- Loading: sprite-loop animations with rotating words, stepped download progress, honest model manifest
- Navigation: staggered card entrances, sliding page pushes
v1.2.1: Stop the money screens crashing before they can draw
Opening Money crashed the app on a fresh install. An account lookup that a
disabled button was supposed to guard was being evaluated during render
instead, and with no wallets yet it threw before the screen could draw.
The money screens also no longer wait on the language model. They only use
local storage, so they open straight away instead of offering a download first.
What I'd still like to know
Whether the Chrome bounce is really gone. My evidence for the crash is solid — reproduced and fixed. My explanation for "it navigated me to GitHub" is inference: the app has no code that can open a browser, so Android returning to the previously-foregrounded Chrome is the only account that fits.
Money tracking, and a chef who files it for you
Track your money, and log it by typing it.
Wallets for GCash, Maya, MariBank, BDO, BPI, UnionBank, cash and cards, each
with its own balance worked out from what you log. Transfers move money between
them without counting as spending.
Type "Starbucks 250 from gcash" and it files itself — several at a time, one
per line. Nothing is written until you confirm, and every row says which fields
it had to assume. Filipino reads as well as English: sahod, merienda, gastos,
kuryente, utang, gamot, ipon.
Monthly limits with a warning before you pass them, savings goals that say how
many months are left at the rate you are actually saving, charts of in against
out, and reminders a day before a bill is due.
Also: a chat history screen with rename and delete, confirmation before
anything is deleted, light and dark mode, and a loading screen that finally
knows the difference between downloading the model and loading it.
Needs a 64-bit phone. Everything runs on the device with the radio off.
Mascot, light mode, and a third the download
Down from 246 MB to 99 MB — the previous build carried native libraries for
four CPU architectures in order to run on one. arm64-v8a only now, so it needs
a 64-bit phone.
New: the chef mascot as the launcher icon and animated opening, light/dark
mode with a toggle in Settings, and a lighter interface throughout.
