Exie is here

Exceptionless 8.8 introduces Exie, an AI assistant for investigating events and stacks in plain language, with project-aware explanations, linked results, suggested next steps, and Fix with Exie actions from event and stack views.

Added and changed

  • Added Exie assistant support, including linked result presentation, follow-up suggestions, stack references, and guarded assistant write actions.
  • Added MCP 2026-07-28 conformance updates, including configured browser-origin validation and OAuth metadata cache handling.
  • Added syntax highlighting in the View Event JSON dialog while preserving raw JSON for clipboard copying.
  • Added configurable saved-view auto-fill columns.
  • Improved detail-sheet browser-history behavior, command-palette interactions, session layout, event-list interactions, project-filter alignment, and Exie setup/upgrade flows.
  • Allowed deletion of legacy suspended organizations while migrating their legacy Stripe suspension identity.

Fixed and hardened

  • Hardened Exie target selection, write authorization, suggested-action binding, usage accounting, and Markdown/reference handling.
  • Improved assistant access and upgrade-flow handling for named projects and verified clients.
  • Updated backend/frontend dependencies and build tooling.

Compatibility

No breaking changes are intended for existing projects or clients. Exie availability depends on your plan and assistant configuration.
