v0.2.0 adds motion-controlled weapons and Xbox-style motion-controller input to the native same-frame stereo VR mod for Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut (Steam 2.0.66.0). No AER.

  • Controller-aligned weapon model, shot direction, muzzle flashes and bullet effects; corrected controller-active loading crash.
  • Xbox-style buttons with right B = holster/draw/held quick inventory and left Y = takedown/held lethal takedown. Triggers map to triggers, grips to bumpers.
  • Hold right-stick click and move the left stick for D-pad; a quick right-stick tap retains scope aiming.
  • Left menu short press opens the in-game menu; holding at least 1.5 seconds opens pause.
  • Independent InteractionAim and MovementDirection: Mouse, Headset, or Controller, with corrected movement rotation. MotionControls=0 disables all controller features after restarting.
  • Headset resolution and refresh-rate pacing; automatic full VR in gameplay and widescreen handling for menus, hacking, videos, game over and sniper scope.
  • Additional lighting, shadow and cloud corrections, plus optional mouse/gamepad vertical-camera lock preserving headset pitch and weapon aiming.

Download DeusExHRVR-0.2.0-release.zip. It contains the compiled DLLs and matching companion, corresponding source, installer, restore script, configuration example, licenses and SHA-256 payload checksums. GitHub's automatic source archives do not contain compiled binaries. Install both the DLL and companion together; the transport format changed. Existing INI settings are preserved.

To enable weapon motion, copy DeusExHRVR.ini.example beside the game as DeusExHRVR.ini, set ExperimentalMotionControls=1, and restart. Controller buttons use MotionControls=1. See the README for the complete layout and direction/scale options.

Controller bindings, movement and loading fixes were confirmed in-headset before the final Y/B exchange; the exchange has dedicated press/hold checks. Both x86 and x64 regression probes pass. This remains an experimental prerelease: extreme-angle weapon visibility and untested missions/effects need further testing. VR haptics are not mapped yet.
