Release list
AgentMicro 0.1.5
AgentMicro 0.1.5
AgentMicro 0.1.5 makes the menu a more useful live control surface for active Codex work.
Highlights
- Adds the complete weekly Codex allowance card below task rows, including reset timing, pace, projected exhaustion,
and correctly aligned quota markers. - Adds fast local search across project names, task titles, and bounded recent user/assistant conversation text, with
relevance ordering and reliable macOS input-method composition. - Adds per-task CPU levels for correlated CLI process trees. Codex Desktop rows explicitly report shared CPU because
the app does not expose reliable per-conversation process ownership. - Smooths the menu bar attention animation and prevents background refreshes from replacing the active search field.
- Reduces noisy conversation matches by excluding system, developer, tool, and reasoning content and requiring at
least three Latin characters or two Chinese characters before searching conversation text.
Installation
Download the DMG, open it, and drag AgentMicro.app onto the Applications folder. Launch AgentMicro from
/Applications.
The ZIP remains available for software updates and manual installation.
Upgrade note
AgentMicro 0.1.1 and later can check for and install this release through Settings → Updates. Users on 0.1.0 must
still replace the app manually because that build cannot reliably start Sparkle.
Privacy
AgentMicro processes task state, search text, CPU samples, and conversation matches locally. It does not upload
prompts, responses, source code, command output, or task files.
Requirements
- macOS 14 or later.
- Codex Desktop or Codex CLI installed locally.
- Universal build for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
AgentMicro 0.1.4
AgentMicro 0.1.4
AgentMicro 0.1.4 improves task rediscovery and substantially reduces background work while Codex tasks are active.
Highlights
- Rediscovers running tasks whose rollout files live in older creation-date directories after those tasks resume.
- Uses Codex's local thread index as a bounded discovery supplement while retaining filesystem fallback behavior.
- Separates lightweight updates for known task files from coalesced full discovery, preventing active JSONL writes from repeatedly launching full scans.
- Extends safety polling to 15 seconds while tasks are active and 30 seconds while idle, without delaying watched file events.
- Filters process snapshots before expensive parsing and caches bounded, immutable rollout metadata across append-only updates.
- Reduces status icon animation from about 14 to 4 frames per second, skips unchanged menu and icon work, and throttles optional Accessibility snapshots.
On the same active-task workload used during development, non-initial CPU samples fell from roughly 30–74% to 0.7–4.2%. Steady resident memory is approximately 30 MB, compared with 24–25 MB previously; the bounded increase stores pre-rendered animation frames and rollout metadata.
Installation
Download the DMG, open it, and drag AgentMicro.app onto the Applications folder. Launch AgentMicro from /Applications.
The ZIP remains available for software updates and manual installation.

AgentMicro 0.1.3
AgentMicro 0.1.3
AgentMicro 0.1.3 makes the six-block menu bar icon a more precise view of task activity and attention.
Highlights
- Animates only tasks that are thinking, unread, waiting for input, or in an error state.
- Keeps idle, unknown, and empty task slots static so animation always has a clear meaning.
- Maps the first six menu tasks across the icon from left to right on the top row, then right to left on the bottom row.
- Moves through multiple animated tasks in that same task order.
- Continues to respect the macOS Reduce Motion setting.

AgentMicro 0.1.2
AgentMicro 0.1.2
AgentMicro 0.1.2 improves the recent-task list and introduces the standard macOS drag-to-Applications installation experience.
Highlights
- Adds a signed and notarized DMG with a guided Finder layout: open the disk image, then drag
AgentMicro.apponto the Applications folder. - Keeps the existing signed ZIP as the Sparkle update artifact, so users on 0.1.1 can update from AgentMicro settings.
- Removes explicitly archived Codex tasks from the current task menu.
- Prevents orphaned guardian records from reintroducing an archived parent as a visible task.
- Preserves active Desktop tasks when archive metadata is temporarily unavailable, while expiring ambiguous records after a bounded retention window.

AgentMicro 0.1.1
AgentMicro 0.1.1
AgentMicro 0.1.1 is the first release intended for everyday use. It improves task-state accuracy, navigation, settings, localization, and the signed update foundation while keeping all Codex observation local to your Mac.
Highlights
- Closes unread results from green to white as soon as the exact task is successfully opened through AgentMicro.
- Improves detection of active reasoning, user questions, approval requests, browser handoffs, rate limits, and ordinary execution failures.
- Adds optional Enhanced Status Detection for the task currently selected in Codex and visible approval or error controls. It is disabled by default, never required, and requests macOS Accessibility permission only after explicit opt-in.
- Keeps running tasks at the top and shows each current-turn duration to the second, including the fast-mode indicator when available.
- Adds a compact six-light menu bar status icon, an adaptive layered app icon, and a narrower task menu.
- Adds paged settings, the five-color first-launch guide, configurable task count from 1 to 20, and 23 selectable interface languages plus Follow System.
- Improves task-to-Codex navigation, including sessions whose local rollout identifier differs from the Codex navigation identifier.
- Adds version display, manual update checks, optional automatic update checks, a dedicated Sparkle feed, and AgentMicro-specific signing keys.
Five task states
- White: idle or already viewed.
- Green: a new result is ready and has not been viewed.
- Blue: Codex is actively working.
- Orange: Codex needs a user answer, approval, or external action.
- Red: the current turn is blocked by an error.
Privacy
AgentMicro reads task state locally. It does not upload prompts, responses, source code, command output, or task files. Enhanced Status Detection is read-only and never clicks, types, approves, rejects, or sends content.
Upgrade note
AgentMicro 0.1.0 cannot reliably launch Sparkle, so it cannot update itself to 0.1.1. Download 0.1.1 from this release and replace the previous app manually. Signed releases from 0.1.1 onward contain the production update feed and can participate in subsequent update tests.
Requirements
- macOS 14 or later.
- Codex Desktop or Codex CLI installed locally.
- Universal build for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
