Ace 0.1.19
What is new in 0.1.19
Released: 2026-10-13
- Ace: atelier is now Ace. This version is a new app, Ace.app: install it once from the release page. Your projects, sessions and settings come with you on its first start. After that, Ace updates itself.
- Agent panel: the panel is three cards with a small gap between them: the header, the conversation, and the foot. The foot holds the composer and the cards above it, such as the plan, the subagents, the pull request and the changed files.
- Composer: it is one row while the text fits, with the text at the left and the controls at the right. Longer text, or a new line, puts the text above the controls.
- Reasoning effort: a button beside the model sets how hard Claude Code thinks: Low, Medium, High, Extra high or Max. Each press takes the next level, and its bars show the level. A change applies at once, also while the agent works.
- Subagents: two or more subagents that run show as one bar.
- Scrolling: a session opens at its last message at once, and a press on the rail jumps to that message at once.
- Sessions in the sidebar: the ⋯ of a row opens Rename, Handoff, Copy session id, Close panel, Archive and Delete, each with its letter, and the letters work on the selected row too. Archive and Delete ask first. Delete removes a Claude Code session for good. The ⋯ shows in the place of the time, and the archive button is gone from the row.
- Sidebar: a project has no fold arrow, and its sessions start under its badge. The open session has no bar at its side. A row shows its state with a small loader while it works and a dot when it finished or needs you.
- Single view: it has no tab bar. The sidebar picks the session, Ctrl-Tab moves between the open ones, and Cmd-W closes the one in front.
- Code in answers: every code block in an answer has a Copy button.
- Reply to a selection: Enter puts the reply in the composer, and Cmd-Enter sends it at once. Copy copies the words you selected.
- Removed: bots, the Design view, the chat and mail accounts (Slack, Discord, Gmail), and the Linear and GitHub Issues task providers.
