@this-xkit this-xkit released this 01 Oct 17:10

New

  • Providers can customize the active subscription's accent color across the dashboard and popup, with readable light and dark themes.
  • macOS routes system DNS through the active TUN by default, including DNS requests normally sent to a local router. This can be turned off in Settings. The physical network's DNS remains available to the connection engine and follows network changes; system DNS returns automatically after disconnecting or a client, engine or helper crash.

Improved

  • TUN respects the stack specified by the subscription. When none is specified, it uses the connection engine's default; explicitly saved subscription overrides are preserved.
  • Profile configuration, runtime configuration and the VLESS converter share a YAML editor with field suggestions, schema diagnostics, hover help and formatting, available without external downloads.
  • Selectors in Settings, subscription overrides and rule forms stay compact, fit narrow windows and support more reliable keyboard navigation.
  • TUN uses an updated helper; older installations offer a helper update when needed.
  • TUN can follow the active subscription or stay enabled or disabled for all subscriptions. Existing on/off choices are preserved after updating. System Proxy turns off while TUN is enabled.
  • Subscription settings take precedence over unnecessary client defaults. IPv6, TUN routing, DNS and geodata settings follow the subscription or the connection engine's defaults.
  • The local proxy port can be set globally or reset to automatic selection. Beta keeps its separate port so it can run alongside the stable client.
  • Importing a subscription can offer helper installation without connecting. Cancelled installation prompts no longer resume an outdated connection or switch to another subscription.

Fixed

  • The TUN stack specified in a profile's YAML is respected when subscription overrides are disabled or locked by the provider.
  • Single-line popup announcements stay compact and no longer show an unnecessary expand button.
  • Schema warnings no longer prevent applying otherwise valid YAML; the connection engine still validates changes before they are saved.
  • macOS TUN connections start correctly when both IPv4 and IPv6 DNS endpoints are enabled.
  • Removing the helper disconnects TUN and System Proxy and restores system DNS before removal. Connecting again without TUN works without the helper.
  • Failed subscription changes preserve the previous connection and settings. Provider caches stay separate for each subscription and can be reused safely after changing or restoring a source.
  • Profiles with file-based providers keep using their original files; deleting a subscription does not delete those files.

@this-xkit this-xkit released this 29 Sep 15:57

New

  • Choose a compact, standard or large tray popup size in Settings. The standard size is now 400×560.

Improved

  • New builds include the latest stable proxy engine available at build time, with its download checked for integrity.

Fixed

  • Dashboard and popup controls on macOS respond to the first click when their window is inactive.
  • Connection errors in the popup show relevant actions, including retry, helper update, provider support and logs when available.
  • Host country flags stay visible when a custom icon fails to load.
  • Switching hosts no longer shows a connection cleanup error when there are no connections to close.

@this-xkit this-xkit released this 15 Sep 17:24

Improved

  • Removed group status banners from the top of the popup and dashboard pages.
  • macOS shows when the helper needs system approval and provides an action to open the relevant settings.

Fixed

  • macOS uninstallation no longer stops at helper removal when the helper has never been installed.
  • Subscription reordering no longer loses newly added profiles or restores an outdated order after a delayed response.
  • Updating one subscription no longer hides another subscription's device-consent request, error or retry action.
  • Disconnecting recovers correctly when stopping the connection fails.
  • Profile rules apply to the selected profile, retain unsaved edits and place appended rules before the final catch-all rule.
  • Subscription loading recovers more reliably, and repeated window activity no longer leaves duplicate event listeners.
  • Disconnecting preserves system proxy settings changed by another application.
  • Diagnostic files remain available when exporting an archive fails.
  • VLESS imports preserve supported transport settings and report unsupported transports instead of silently changing them.
  • Linux reports failures while changing persistent routes; macOS releases old tray images after icon updates.
  • macOS allows updates before the helper is first installed. Replacing an older helper preserves its system approval and completes registration in one step instead of requiring another installation attempt.

Security

  • macOS verifies a protected copy of the connection engine before starting it with elevated privileges and uses system-managed helper registration.
  • Subscription redirects restrict transfer of device identifiers and credentials. Device consent is tied to the subscription URL.
  • Remote profile images use a bounded cache and a placeholder when loading is rejected. Local-address URL checks are strengthened.
  • Subscription settings can no longer enable additional unprotected connection-control endpoints or an external dashboard.

@this-xkit this-xkit released this 08 Sep 03:11

New

  • Hosts can be selected before connecting. Automatic groups have an explicit Auto select switch, and manual choices are restored when the connection starts.
  • Windows and macOS can download updates from an optional provider mirror, with automatic fallback to the official source. Update signatures remain mandatory; Linux continues to use the official source.
  • An optional setting closes existing connections for a group when switching its host. Connections through other groups remain active.

Improved

  • Single-host and group latency tests share a queue, avoid duplicate requests and show separate results for timeouts and other errors.
  • Connection changes and subscription updates are coordinated more reliably, with fewer unnecessary profile reloads and no stale results from previous routes.
  • Diagnostic logs distinguish latency-test failures and explain HTTP proxy access denials more clearly.
  • Groups remain visible when the core cannot start. Flowvy explains whether the list comes from saved data or the current profile and does not show an offline choice as an active connection.
  • Service errors distinguish an outdated helper from a temporary connection failure, and diagnostic output remains bounded during repeated failures.

Fixed

  • Cascaded hosts supplied by a subscription are tested through the correct route. Equal names from different sources no longer silently select the wrong host.
  • Testing groups no longer copies an old host measurement or releases a manually selected route. Rejected configuration edits do not change which route is tested.
  • The connection remains active while an application update downloads and is restored if installation fails after disconnecting.
  • Subscriptions receive the device OS on the first request, while device identification still requires consent.
  • Provider-required profile widgets remain enabled, and Settings explains the restriction.
  • If a subscription removes its primary group, Flowvy falls back to an available group instead of keeping an invalid selection.
  • The Windows helper no longer requires a separately installed Visual C++ runtime.
  • Windows installation no longer reports that an already stopped FlowvyServiceBeta could not be stopped. The helper also shuts down correctly while a client is connected but is not sending commands.
  • Linux package removal stops the owning processes and keeps stable and beta service data separate. In-app updates let the waiting client receive the installation result; upgrades retain service registration.
  • Manual host choices follow the current profile and subscription contents: delayed host lists do not overwrite a newer choice, and removed hosts do not linger in saved lists.
  • Invalid configuration changes are rejected before replacing the working configuration. Failed application or saving restores the previous state and reports when restoration also fails; the editor detects conflicting subscription updates.
  • Recovery after a core crash has a retry limit and stops when disconnecting, switching profiles, updating or quitting. Exited processes are no longer treated as running.
  • An occupied proxy port no longer produces a successful connection status when the proxy cannot accept connections.
  • On macOS, system proxy settings follow changes to the active network while connected.
  • Linux update notifications no longer trigger a runtime panic when contacting the desktop notification service.
  • Stable and beta installers keep their own files and update signatures when built in the same output directory.
  • Russian About text now displays the correct copyright year.

Security

  • Downloaded subscription resources use separate, validated cache locations, preventing one source from overwriting another source's data or writing outside the intended cache.

@this-xkit this-xkit released this 05 Sep 14:27

Improved

  • macOS disk images now open with a branded installation layout that clearly shows where to place Flowvy and keeps the optional uninstaller easy to find.

Fixed

  • After an in-app update on macOS, Flowvy opens again automatically and restores the connection that was active before the update, even when Launch at Login and Auto-connect are disabled.
  • If an in-app update fails after disconnecting, Flowvy reconnects automatically instead of leaving the connection off.
  • Launch at Login and Start minimized now apply only to actual login launches: opening Flowvy manually still shows the app, and failed autostart changes are no longer saved as successful.
  • macOS packages are now signed for compatibility with current system security checks, preventing the updated client from being blocked when it relaunches.
  • Reopening the menu bar popup on macOS no longer highlights a previously used button automatically; visible focus appears only when keyboard navigation begins.

@this-xkit this-xkit released this 04 Sep 13:00

New

  • macOS gains a Flowvy uninstaller with an option to keep profiles and settings. Open it from the client settings or directly from the DMG.

Improved

  • Uninstallation shows progress and clear error messages in English and Russian.
  • Installers include up-to-date geodata with integrity verification.

Fixed

  • Removing Flowvy on macOS also cleans up runtime files that require administrator permissions.
  • Starting Flowvy on macOS no longer briefly adds it to the Dock before the Dashboard opens.
  • Subscription import links are retained when they launch the client, including while its interface is loading.

@this-xkit this-xkit released this 05 Oct 20:31

New

  • Subscription expiry reminders appear in a separate window with a renewal link when enabled by the provider. Each reminder is shown once for the current expiry date, without opening the main window.
  • TUN exclusions support individual IPv4/IPv6 addresses and networks, manual entry and text-file import with validation before saving. Saved entries can be enabled, disabled or removed independently; a master switch preserves the list.

Improved

  • Available updates appear in a separate window with release notes and installation controls, without opening the main window. Each version is offered once when update notifications are enabled.
  • Previously installed TUN bypass routes can be migrated to the new exclusions. Saved addresses are preserved if permission to remove the old routes is declined.

Fixed

  • On Linux, TUN restores missing routing rules after network changes while the connection engine is still running.

@this-xkit this-xkit released this 03 Oct 02:49

New

  • Rules can be created directly from Connections for a process name, executable path, domain or destination IP. The rule is saved to the selected profile without overwriting other unsaved rule edits.
  • Manual host changes can close connections in the selected group or all groups, with exclusions for applications, domains and IP addresses or networks. Excluded connections continue using the previous host.
  • Providers can migrate subscriptions to a new domain while preserving the rest of the saved URL, or replace the entire saved URL. Changes apply only after a successful import or refresh; a full URL takes precedence over a domain change.
  • Popup announcements can use separate light and dark colors, remain fully expanded and open a provider link with an optional button label. The expand/collapse control remains separate from the link.

Improved

  • Settings are organized into Connection, Appearance, Startup and Tools. Helper controls stay with connection settings; TUN bypass and the VLESS converter have dedicated pages, and uninstallation is grouped with app maintenance.
  • The local proxy port is edited directly in Settings. Automatic and manual selection share one draft, with explicit Apply/Cancel actions, keyboard support and draft retention after a failed save.
  • The main profile panel no longer shows redundant Save/Cancel actions for toggles that apply immediately. Primary group and subscription overrides save independently in their own panels; failed saves retain the draft, and cancelling a panel discards only its changes.
  • Subscription overrides display values from the profile instead of a generic placeholder. They distinguish provider restrictions, loading and errors, support retry and include the Silent log level.
  • Provider accent colors can differ between light and dark themes, including the YAML editor. An absent or invalid theme color uses the default palette.
  • All supported subscription metadata headers accept plain text or explicitly prefixed Base64 values, including numbers, flags, URLs and HWID responses. Profile details are enabled by the presence of the advanced information header, including an empty value.
  • Provider integrations use renamed headers: client-update-mirror, subscription-fallback-url, client-accent-color, profile-config-restrict and profile-advanced-info replace profile-update-url, profile-fallback-url, profile-accent-color, profile-restrict and profile-info. The old names are no longer read; previously saved metadata remains until a successful refresh.
  • English and Russian labels, hints and errors use clearer, consistent wording. Server-list loading is identified as preparation instead of configuration application.
  • The Vivox TUN bypass preset uses the updated address ranges. Removing a previously installed preset also cleans up its old ranges while preserving separately saved user routes; removing and reinstalling the preset applies the new set.

Fixed

  • macOS relaunches after an automatic update when Flowvy was started at login.
  • The popup no longer flashes white when first opened on macOS.
  • YAML editors and the VLESS converter retain their layout while loading. Copy and save failures are reported, and a delayed clipboard result no longer marks a newer conversion as copied.
  • The rule editor selects named sub-rule sets from the edited profile, preserves the condition and reports missing sets or loading errors instead of offering proxy targets or an unrelated process picker.
  • Editing YAML clears a primary group that no longer exists, preventing IP detection from using a removed group.
