New

  • Hosts can be selected before connecting. Automatic groups have an explicit Auto select switch, and manual choices are restored when the connection starts.
  • Windows and macOS can download updates from an optional provider mirror, with automatic fallback to the official source. Update signatures remain mandatory; Linux continues to use the official source.
  • An optional setting closes existing connections for a group when switching its host. Connections through other groups remain active.

Improved

  • Single-host and group latency tests share a queue, avoid duplicate requests and show separate results for timeouts and other errors.
  • Connection changes and subscription updates are coordinated more reliably, with fewer unnecessary profile reloads and no stale results from previous routes.
  • Diagnostic logs distinguish latency-test failures and explain HTTP proxy access denials more clearly.
  • Groups remain visible when the core cannot start. Flowvy explains whether the list comes from saved data or the current profile and does not show an offline choice as an active connection.
  • Service errors distinguish an outdated helper from a temporary connection failure, and diagnostic output remains bounded during repeated failures.

Fixed

  • Cascaded hosts supplied by a subscription are tested through the correct route. Equal names from different sources no longer silently select the wrong host.
  • Testing groups no longer copies an old host measurement or releases a manually selected route. Rejected configuration edits do not change which route is tested.
  • The connection remains active while an application update downloads and is restored if installation fails after disconnecting.
  • Subscriptions receive the device OS on the first request, while device identification still requires consent.
  • Provider-required profile widgets remain enabled, and Settings explains the restriction.
  • If a subscription removes its primary group, Flowvy falls back to an available group instead of keeping an invalid selection.
  • The Windows helper no longer requires a separately installed Visual C++ runtime.
  • Windows installation no longer reports that an already stopped FlowvyServiceBeta could not be stopped. The helper also shuts down correctly while a client is connected but is not sending commands.
  • Linux package removal stops the owning processes and keeps stable and beta service data separate. In-app updates let the waiting client receive the installation result; upgrades retain service registration.
  • Manual host choices follow the current profile and subscription contents: delayed host lists do not overwrite a newer choice, and removed hosts do not linger in saved lists.
  • Invalid configuration changes are rejected before replacing the working configuration. Failed application or saving restores the previous state and reports when restoration also fails; the editor detects conflicting subscription updates.
  • Recovery after a core crash has a retry limit and stops when disconnecting, switching profiles, updating or quitting. Exited processes are no longer treated as running.
  • An occupied proxy port no longer produces a successful connection status when the proxy cannot accept connections.
  • On macOS, system proxy settings follow changes to the active network while connected.
  • Linux update notifications no longer trigger a runtime panic when contacting the desktop notification service.
  • Stable and beta installers keep their own files and update signatures when built in the same output directory.
  • Russian About text now displays the correct copyright year.

Security

  • Downloaded subscription resources use separate, validated cache locations, preventing one source from overwriting another source's data or writing outside the intended cache.
