The page looks old / pitch feels wrong after an update

The service worker caches the previous build. Tap Reload latest version in the footer, or hard-refresh (Chrome: Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-R). That unregisters the worker and fetches version.json with no-store.

Microphone never starts

• Not file:// — serve over http://localhost or the live Pages URL (https).
• Browser permission denied: reset the site’s microphone permission and try again.
• iOS Safari: use the live https URL; add to Home Screen if you want the PWA.

Notes won’t save

Hold the note ~420 ms, fairly still (±2.4 semitones), or tap Save this note when the needle is on the pitch you want. Clarity under 0.68 is treated as noise.

Result feels like the wrong Fach

Range extremes are easy to fake and easy to miss. Tessitura (what you held) is weighted more. Formants follow the vowel more than the Fach — the page says so. Age under ~18 gets “changing voice” copy, not a finished type.

Demo mode

?demo=1 loads a sample baritone (A2–A4, tessitura ~E3). The mic still works if you allow it.
