Capsomnia 2.0.0 makes Caps Lock switching reliable from the menu bar and adds a configurable global shortcut.

Changes:

  • Toggle Capsomnia from the menu bar using the real macOS Caps Lock state, keeping the physical green indicator, menu status, and sleep prevention in sync.
  • Assign a persistent global shortcut, with conflict handling and support for Command, Option, or Control combinations and Shift with F1–F20.
  • Redesign Settings with a focused main page and a larger Advanced Settings page in the same window.
  • Clarify Capsomnia-on behavior across English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.
  • Add high-resolution shortcut-settings previews to the localized website and remove redundant security explanation cards.
  • Clean up redundant shortcut and settings code.

Requires Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later. The installer is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
