Capsomnia 3.0.0 is now available.
Highlights:
- Add an optional auto-off timer with 15-minute to 8-hour presets and custom durations from 1 minute to 24 hours.
- When the timer expires, Capsomnia turns Caps Lock off, confirms that macOS sleep prevention is disabled, and requests system sleep once.
- Keep the menu bar compact by placing timer controls in Advanced Settings, with a stable custom-time popover and one-minute precision.
- Start a fresh full timer whenever awake mode is enabled, with an explicit Restart Timer action.
- Abort the sleep request if Caps Lock cannot be turned off or the helper state cannot be confirmed.
Important:
- A completed timer intentionally puts the Mac to sleep. Save your work and choose the duration accordingly.
Contributors:
- Thanks to @advanivivek for the original auto-off timer contribution in PR #66.
Validation:
- 64 Swift tests passed with 2 hardware-only skips.
- 20 site and language-routing tests passed.
- Dependency audit reports 0 vulnerabilities.
- A real-Mac one-minute end-to-end test confirmed Caps Lock off, sleep prevention off, and macOS Software Sleep.
