Node applications can now share a render queue that limits active PDFs and waiting requests. A request beyond those limits rejects with QUEUE_FULL, so HTTP handlers and automation consumers can apply their own admission policy.
import { createRenderQueue } from 'fullbleed';
const documents = createRenderQueue({ concurrency: 2, maxQueue: 4 });
const result = await documents.renderPdf({
html: '<h1>Invoice NS-1042</h1>',
timeoutMs: 30_000,
isolation: 'process',
});
// Reuse documents across requests; await documents.close() at shutdown.Waiting time counts toward the deadline. Waiting jobs can be cancelled without starting workers, and active slots remain occupied until their worker or child process has exited. Accepted inputs are copied at admission. close() stops admission, cancels unfinished jobs and waits for cleanup. The API and types work through ESM and CommonJS.
Start with the queue guide and downloadable six-invoice project, or read the API details and batch source. Limits apply to a queue in one application process and count jobs; durable event delivery and total memory management belong to the application.
This release uses the pinned Fullbleed 2.5.11 engine. Issue #7 remains open; bounded admission does not establish a diagnosis or correction of the intermittent native crash.
The retained qualification report and evidence archive accompany the exact CI-built tarball. Qualification requires all thirteen jobs: fourteen queue checks in each of nine Node/platform installations, 105 browser checks in each of Chrome, Firefox and Playwright WebKit, and 32 native/WebAssembly PDF and preview comparisons. The six-request queue fixture uses at most two workers and preserves its standalone PDF and PNG bytes.
The fresh public npm verification confirms that registry bytes match the CI package, npm signatures and provenance verify, and all fourteen queue lifecycle checks pass from a fresh installation. Its CommonJS process-mode render preserves the same PDF and PNG bytes.
The live guide verification records desktop/mobile browser checks, actual public ZIP downloads, and 60 checks of the downloaded batch, guide snippet, worker limits, PDF text, and exact replay. The companion archive retains the Linux CI evidence and public-download outputs.
