Summary

0.5.0 is a broad CSS parity and release-hardening milestone for deterministic HTML/CSS-to-PDF rendering.

This release consolidates the parser -> evaluator -> calculator model into fixture-validated coverage across all tracked CSS modules, expands effects/paint behavior in the deterministic raster path, and refreshes release metadata/build artifacts for production distribution.

Key Changes

• Expanded CSS parity baseline and validation discipline:
  • Full CSS fixture lane is green at 85/85.
  • Parity status check is green via _css_working/css_parity_status.json.
  • Canonical and visual stress scenarios are maintained under:
    • examples/css_parity_canonical_100
    • examples/css_visual_charts_showcase
• Effects and paint-path improvements in the deterministic renderer:
  • Backdrop filter subset support (blur + saturate) in the raster path.
  • Conic/radial/linear gradient coverage improvements in the style->paint path.
  • Box-shadow quality hardening:
    • weighted multi-pass blur approximation
    • negative spread support
• Documentation and coverage contract refresh:
  • Added docs/css-coverage.md as canonical validated CSS coverage + gap matrix.
  • Replaced older Bootstrap-preflight-centered coverage description with fixture-backed parity status.
