Fullbleed 2.5.15: border-image and masked-preview fixes
Fullbleed 2.5.15 fixes overlapping border-image slices and masked-form previews.
- Border-image source slices now clamp independently. Overlapping slices preserve corner content and leave empty intervening regions instead of shrinking every slice. Oversized destination widths still reduce proportionally.
- Finalized-PDF previews apply a transparency group's soft mask and parent alpha once at the group boundary, preserving gaps in masked forms.
Install from PyPI with python -m pip install fullbleed==2.5.15, or use fullbleed = { version = "=2.5.15", features = ["svg_raster"] } from crates.io. The Rust example enables SVG raster fallback to match the Python wheels. The Python package has no runtime package dependencies. Node and .NET bindings retain their separately verified engine versions.
Validation retained for this release:
- 584 Python tests and seven focused tests passed on the final local wheel; the release-preparation CI and both registry workflows passed.
- Fresh public Python and Rust installations passed 21 focused border-image cases. All 21 CI PDFs matched across Windows and Linux. The public Rust PDFs and native/finalized previews matched public Python output.
- Native, finalized-PDF and independent PDFium previews are retained with source fixtures and standalone reproduction tools in the border-image evidence archive. See the verification record and checksums.
The complete corpus comparison of source commit 9ec4f71, before the version bump, changed one fixture from FAIL to PASS: 1,617 PASS, 26 FAIL and 19 REFERENCE-DISPUTED. The other 1,661 PDFs were byte-identical to the published 2.5.14 baseline. The unchanged upstream gate still failed. That candidate's wheel reports 2.5.14; this is source-build evidence, not a full run of the final 2.5.15 registry wheel.
Download the source corpus evidence, structured comparison, and checksums. The original failing input was also rendered from the fresh public 2.5.15 Python installation and matched the reviewed source pixels under PDFium.
The published 2.5.14 corpus report remains unchanged. Remaining failures stay open. These checks do not establish full CSS parity or new PDF standards conformance; the dedicated PDF/VT validator was unavailable and skipped.
Changes: implementation #55, release preparation #56.
Python 3.15 preview verification
Post-release checks exercise CPython 3.15.0rc3 with the standard GIL on Windows x64 and Linux x64. Each preview CI job passes 587 repository Python tests, records one explicit legacy-subinterpreter skip, and produces 354 PDF/PNG files that match the same-platform Python 3.10 outputs byte for byte. The installed API/CLI checks pass separately in isolation. Exact CI run.
The CI jobs use source-built abi3 wheels from 618fad9aa63e1b9f2cc20324821a8bd66733fa79; a separate Windows run checks the public PyPI 2.5.15 wheel on the official preview runtime. The evidence archive, verification summary, and checksums retain the results and reproduction instructions.
Stable support remains Python 3.10–3.14. These results do not establish support for Python 3.15 final, free-threaded builds, subinterpreters, or macOS on this preview. The release tag and published packages are unchanged.
