Fullbleed 2.6.0a1: static Python components and HTML export
Pre-releaseFullbleed 2.6.0a1 is an opt-in Python component authoring alpha. Compose rich documents with ordinary Python functions, reusable styles and Bootstrap 5.0.0 helpers, then export PDF or static HTML from the same tree.
python -m pip install --pre "fullbleed==2.6.0a1"The API lives in fullbleed.ui.experimental and may change. This prerelease keeps the established stable API available; ordinary pip resolution was verified to select stable 2.5.26 after publication.
- Static constructors cover Bootstrap's 23 component families, plus layout, forms, content, helpers and checked utilities. Cards own their sections and data tables own their columns and cells.
- Components retain immutable styles and theme choices.
class_namesupplies literal CSS classes;Document(styles=...)supplies custom selectors. to_html(include_styles=True)collects CSS;include_styles=Falseretains content and class names without generated or inline styles. Both documents and fragments can be exported without constructing a PDF engine.- Required/optional style parts and deliberate child-part forwarding expose customization without internal selectors. Missing required targets produce construction-time diagnostics.
- Generated Python stubs support component arguments, style properties and editor completion. Paginated table and Flow recipes include scoped diagnostics for unsupported cases.
All Bootstrap components are static in PDF and HTML. No Bootstrap JavaScript is included. Tabs and carousels show the authored selection, overlays appear in document flow, and PDF controls show printed values rather than fillable fields. HTML authoring still uses the Fullbleed distribution; this is not a separate HTML-only package or a JavaScript/.NET API release.
Start with the first document, component and part-styling guide, Bootstrap guide, and report/catalog source. The earlier commit-pinned preview remains unchanged.
Validation: 920 local Python tests pass with the installed extension. Core CI passed 15 jobs. The release pipeline passed 39 jobs, including all 15 platform wheels and their installation checks; the unconfigured dedicated PDF/VT job was skipped. All 15 PyPI wheels and the source archive match the validated release hashes. A fresh public installation passes the package smoke, standalone README/agent examples, 29-PDF kit and three guide blocks. The Windows/Linux CI outputs match PDF bytes for the first document and all seven part-styling fixtures.
Download fullbleed-bootstrap-alpha.zip below for the complete runnable report, catalog and first document. SHA256SUMS.txt covers the attached distributions and examples; the JSON records identify source and qualification evidence.
Qualification is bounded to the retained fixtures. It does not establish complete Bootstrap CSS/browser parity, accessibility conformance, language parity or independent usability. The dedicated PDF/VT validator remains unconfigured. See the release runbook for the gates and scope.
