FX Unleashed v0.7.3
FX Unleashed is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Simagic. Simagic and FX Pro are trademarks of their owner, used only to say which hardware this works with. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk.
FX Unleashed 0.7.3
Updates itself from 0.5.x, 0.6.x and 0.7.x: the banner (or the About tab) offers it, one click installs it, Roll back is there if you want the old one.
What's new
Dash designer
- Pages, all of them. A new Pages tab shows every set of pages a dash has (up to four, each flipped on its own with Next
page 1-4; Next page flips them all): add and remove pages and whole sets, rename them, reorder pages (their elements follow),
and click the number beside a page to select what's on it. New elements can go straight onto the page you're looking at. The
top bar picks the page of each set separately, and Exact, Demo lap and the wheel follow. Dashes with more than one set of pages
(the Aston Martin) can now be edited page by page. - Fonts you can read. The screen's fonts are named by size and width ("40 px Narrow", "Fixed width", "Gear digits") and
grouped by the Simagic dash they come from, instead of bare numbers. The picker measures your text in each font against the
box and draws it, shows the fonts the dash already uses, and previews a font on the screen while you hover it. − / +
next to the font step to the next smaller / bigger one. - Text as the wheel draws it. The designer and the Exact preview now draw text at the size, width and height on the line
the wheel uses (it was centred before, a few pixels lower than on the wheel), in the closest Windows font to each screen font. - Search in Layers (Ctrl+F): by name, text, data, condition or page; Enter selects every match. "Only what the screen shows"
hides the rest. - Select several elements: Shift / Ctrl + click on the screen or in Layers, drag a box on an empty part of the screen, or
Ctrl+A. Move, nudge, delete, duplicate, copy and paste them together; line them up or space them evenly; put them on a page;
give their texts one font or colour. - Select what's behind: click an element that's already selected to get the one under it (again for the next), or
Alt+click. The right-click menu lists everything under the cursor.
Animated pictures (screensavers)
- The GIF import window now shows the wheel's screen to scale with your GIF on it, playing what the wheel will actually play
(the frames kept, the quality, the steps it can't keep up with), not the original GIF. - A new Quality choice: lower quality keeps more frames in the screen's memory and gives the screen less to draw each step,
at the cost of a softer picture. Best fit works for the quality you pick.
Fixes
- With picture memory: text that changes under the edge of a picture drawn in front of it no longer shows through that edge.
Everything else is as in 0.7.2.
Requirements
SimHub 9.11 or newer, SimPro Manager 3 (V3.2.2 tested) for standard mode, an FX Pro, GT Neo or FX. Tested by the maintainer on one FX Pro
on an Alpha EVO base. The designer and import window changes are checked offline; please report what you find (Discord or GitHub issues).
Install and update
From 0.5.x, 0.6.x or 0.7.x: let it update itself (About tab). New install: close SimHub, copy User.FXProRpmSync.dll from the zip into your SimHub folder, start SimHub,
turn the plugin on. Guide: https://fxunleashed.com/start/
Custom firmware for Unleashed mode
Unleashed mode (your own dashes, all 38 lights, the dash button) needs our custom firmware for the wheel, build 9 or newer. Standard mode needs nothing.
The whole path in one guide: fxunleashed.com/start (about 15 minutes, every step says what you should see)
- Custom firmware: download it here and flash it with SimPro (Settings > Update > Manual Firmware Flash). Please read the short notice first: it is your wheel's own program, at your own risk, and Simagic's original is always one flash away.
- This plugin (the zip below).
- The screen's RAM patch (picture memory): optional, but highly recommended.
- Your dashes and lights.
FX Unleashed v0.7.2
FX Unleashed is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Simagic. Simagic and FX Pro are trademarks of their owner, used only to say which hardware this works with. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk.
FX Unleashed 0.7.2
Updates itself from 0.5.x, 0.6.x and 0.7.x: the banner (or the About tab) offers it, one click installs it, Roll back is there if you want the old one.
What's new
- Simagic FX support. The FX (not the FX Pro) joins the FX Pro and the GT Neo, in USB mode, with its stock firmware: nothing to
flash. Update it to app 1.3.5 in SimPro if it runs an older one, plug its USB cable into the PC, and the plugin drives all 20 of its
lights when a game runs:- the 12 button lights, the rings of the three dials and the 5 rev lights, with every light preset;
- each car's own shift lights on the 5 rev lights (they fill in the car's own steps and are full exactly at its shift point, in its
colours), plus the pit limiter, alerts, the spotter (each side's buttons and dial) and sleep; - the lights use the wheel's own 8 colours, with one brightness for the whole wheel;
- buttons that never stick: the FX's stock firmware can stop sending its buttons now and then, until it's powered off. While the
plugin drives the wheel, it notices within a second and starts them again.
The settings pages show the FX, traced from Simagic's picture, with its buttons named. The FX and the FX Pro look the same to the PC;
the plugin tells them apart by themselves.
- Shift lights without SimPro. In USB mode, each car's real shift lights no longer need SimPro running with a wheel in it (before,
without SimPro every car fell back to the preset's pattern). Only the "your SimPro preset" pattern still reads SimPro. - More than two wheels. With several wheels connected, the wheel chip at the top steps through them; "Copy to another wheel" on the
Lights tab offers each of them.
The FX in standard mode keeps SimPro's own lights: per-car lights on the FX are in USB mode.
Everything else is as in 0.7.1.
Requirements
SimHub 9.11 or newer, SimPro Manager 3 (V3.2.2 tested) for standard mode, an FX Pro, GT Neo or FX. Tested by the maintainer on one FX Pro
on an Alpha EVO base. FX support is new and not yet tried on a wheel by the plugin: its lights and buttons were mapped with an FX
owner, everything else is checked offline. Please report what you find (Discord or GitHub issues).

FX Unleashed v0.7.1

Simagic and FX Pro are trademarks of their owner, used only to say which hardware this works with. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk.
FX Unleashed 0.7.1
Updates itself from 0.5.x, 0.6.x and 0.7.0: the banner (or the About tab) offers it, one click installs it, Roll back is there if you want the old one.
What's new
- Animated GIF screensavers. "Add a picture" on the Idle tab now takes a GIF, and with picture memory on (Wheel tab) it plays on the
wheel's screen. A window shows what you'll get before you add it: Size, Smoothness, a Best fit button, how many frames fit
and how smoothly it will play. A GIF bigger than the screen's memory keeps evenly spaced frames, so the loop stays as long as the GIF's
(the card says "Oversized: took X/Y frames"). Without picture memory a GIF shows its first frame. - Pictures in full colour. With picture memory on, picture screensavers are now drawn from the screen's memory, in every colour.
Before, they were drawn with a few colours even though the settings preview showed them in full. Without picture memory, a new
pixel size setting decides how simplified a picture is so it draws in quickly. Pictures you added before keep their old, simplified
copy: add them again for full colour. - Whole screen image (from support). For the rare screen whose picture-memory upload always ends in "Update Failed": with a file
from FX Unleashed support, Screen recovery (Wheel tab, Firmware card) can write the screen's whole image once (about 11 minutes),
after which picture memory turns on as usual. The plugin only accepts the exact image it knows, and the same button is the recovery if
that upload is interrupted. While any screen upload runs, nothing else in the plugin talks to the wheel, even if SimHub restarts its plugins. - Toyota GR010 Hybrid dash, converted again 1:1 from Redadeg's SimHub dash, as in the library (1.1.0): both pages of the bottom bar
(anti-roll bars, and migration / regen), the original's captions, and less of the screen's memory.
SimHub import and dash makers
- Pictures turned 90, 180 or 270 degrees in SimHub are imported turned (arrows), copies of the same widget flip together, groups are placed
from their own corner, script helpers (the dash's own JavascriptExtensions) load on the wheel as in SimHub, a script's PreExpression is
kept, and text items with SimHub's time behaviours show that time. - Image elements take a Block (pixel size, 1-16) for screens without the RAM drive.
fxdash framesdraws a dash's demo as PNG frames. - Renderer: a bar on another page, or one hidden under an opaque pop-up, no longer stops the items next to it from being drawn from the RAM
drive; a bordered box keeps one picture instead of two; page flips no longer show the old page between the new background's strips.
Everything else is as in 0.7.0.
Requirements
SimHub 9.11 or newer, SimPro Manager 3 (V3.2.2 tested) for standard mode, an FX Pro or GT Neo. Tested by the maintainer on one FX Pro on an Alpha EVO
base: other bases, wheels and games may behave differently, so please report what you find (Discord or GitHub issues). The animated GIF
screensavers' speed is still being tuned on the wheel: if one plays slowly, tell us which GIF.
Install and update

FX Unleashed v0.7.0
FX Unleashed is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Simagic. Simagic and FX Pro are trademarks of their owner, used only to say which hardware this works with. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk.
FX Unleashed 0.7.0
Updates itself from 0.5.x and 0.6.x: the banner (or the About tab) offers it, one click installs it, Roll back is there if you want the old one.
What's new
- The LMGT3 Aston Martin Vantage AMR dash. Converted 1:1 from Redadeg's SimHub dash on lmu-dashboards.com
and checked item by item against the original: the centre gear with its setting, flag, LIFT, overboost and lap-summary screens, the
seven dials of the bottom bar, speed, laps, brake bias, delta, water and oil temperatures, the start lights, the pit limiter and pit
stop screens, and the ignition screens. Its captions are drawn in the original's own font. It comes with the plugin and is in the library. - Parts of a dash that flip on their own. A dash can now have up to four sets of pages that flip separately, as SimHub dashes with
several widgets do. In the AMR: energy / fuel, the lap times and the tyres. Next page flips them all; Next page 1 to
Next page 4 flip one set each. They're wheel buttons (Dashes tab) and SimHub controls, the same for every dash that has them,
so you bind them once. The SimHub import makes these sets by itself. - Smoother overlays. Pop-ups over round shapes that the screen draws itself (a flag or setting change in the centre of a dash) come and
go with less drawing and no flicker at their edges, with and without the screen's RAM patch. - Screensavers: a Refresh button next to "Add a dash as a screensaver". A dash you just saved or installed now shows up in that list
without restarting SimHub (the list is also read again each time you open it).
Everything else is as in 0.6.1.
For dash makers
Dash format 4 (the sets of pages: PageSets, conditions page2:N to page4:N, see docs/dash-format.md); 0.6.x refuses a dash in it and
asks for the update. fxdash verify now counts a dash's first update as loading, not as its busiest second.

FX Unleashed v0.6.1
FX Unleashed is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Simagic. Simagic and FX Pro are trademarks of their owner, used only to say which hardware this works with. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk.
FX Unleashed 0.6.1
Updates itself from 0.5.x and 0.6.0: the banner (or the About tab) offers it, one click installs it, Roll back is there if you want the old one.
What's new
- The LMP3 Ginetta G61 dash. Converted 1:1 from Redadeg's SimHub dash on lmu-dashboards.com and
checked item by item against the original: fuel per lap and fuel level, speed, gear, best / last / predicted lap, brake temperatures,
TC and TC cut (FPS), oil and water temperatures, the headlights, the pit limiter banner, the ignition-off screen and the ignition-on
logo. The tyre panel has three pages, like the original: tyre pressures, brake temperatures (blue when cold, red when hot) and tyre
temperatures; bind Next / Previous page to a wheel button. It comes with the plugin and is in the library. - SLIPSTREAM: "THIS LAP WON'T COUNT" in full. The invalid-lap screen showed "THIS LAP WON'T": one command to the screen holds 58
characters, and the label's position and colours took the rest. Fixed (SLIPSTREAM 1.0.1, also in the library). - Logos on wheels without the screen's RAM patch. A picture with a transparent background (a logo) was drawn with a square of the
wrong colour around it; it's now drawn on what's under it. Dashes with such pictures also draw a little less (the Mustang: about 18 %
less when the dash first appears). - Checks for dash makers. The designer's check and
fxdash checknow report a text the wheel would cut (too long for one screen
command, even when it fits its box), with what to do about it.
Everything else is as in 0.6.0.
Requirements
SimHub 9.11 or newer, SimPro Manager 3 (V3.2.2 tested) for standard mode, an FX Pro or GT Neo. Tested by the maintainer on one FX Pro on an Alpha EVO

FX Unleashed v0.6.0
FX Unleashed is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Simagic. Simagic and FX Pro are trademarks of their owner, used only to say which hardware this works with. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk.
FX Unleashed 0.6.0
Updates itself from 0.5.x: the banner (or the About tab) offers it, one click installs it, Roll back is there if you want the old one.
What's new
- The Mustang GT3 dash, rebuilt 1:1. The LMGT3 Ford Mustang GT3 (converted from
Redadeg's SimHub dash on lmu-dashboards.com) now has everything the original has: both pages above the
settings row (tyres and brakes, and the delta bar with lap time and position), every overlay (setting changes, lap summaries per session,
the pit limiter and pit stop screens, flags, low energy, engine off, pit request, lift and coast), the ignition-on sweep and the
ignition-off screen, and the headlights dimming the screen. Checked item by item against the original. The speed above the oval is in a
bigger font, the oval sits a little lower, and the wiper icon only shows with the wipers on (LMU reports 1 with them off). - Dash pages. A dash can have pages (
Pages, andpage:Nin an element's conditions). Flip them with Next page / Previous page:
SimHub actions you can bind to any button, wheel buttons, or the buttons next to Demo on the wheel on the Dashes tab. The designer
has a pages editor. Dashes with pages use dash format 3 and need this version. - Ovals and rounded boxes drawn by the screen itself. The FX Pro's screen can draw smooth (anti-aliased) shapes of its own: the
plugin now draws overlays' ovals, rings and rounded boxes that way instead of keeping a picture of each in the screen's memory. They are
smooth with or without the screen's RAM patch, in any colour, and the Mustang needs about half the screen memory it did (77 KB, was
158 KB). A setting pop-up going away now puts back only what was under it, not a block of the dash around it. - Dim. A dash element that darkens the whole screen while its conditions hold (the Mustang's headlights), with the backlight: nothing
is redrawn. - Checks for dash makers.
fxdash verify --overlaysbrings up every overlay on every page and reports what each costs and whether
anything flashes;--demoruns exactly what Demo on the wheel shows. The designer has an overlay picker and the same check, and
Make them take turns for values half under an overlay. - SimHub import. Pages, overlay screens, blinking items, layer opacity, leaderboard items and the speed in the user's unit come over.
- Slow updates in the log. A dash update that sends over 6 KB or takes over half a second is written to SimHub's log with what it drew.
Everything else is as in 0.5.3.

FX Unleashed 0.5.3
Updates itself from 0.5.2: the banner (or the About tab) offers it, one click installs it, Roll back is there if you want the old one.
What's new
- The Mustang GT3 is in the library too. The LMGT3 Ford Mustang GT3 dash that has always come with the plugin is now also an item of the
library, next to the McLaren 720S GT3 and Toyota GR010 Hybrid, and the library shows it as installed
(it used to have no library entry). Like the other two it is converted for the FX Pro screen from
Redadeg's SimHub dash on lmu-dashboards.com, and says so in the dash list.
Everything else is as in 0.5.2.

Simagic and FX Pro are trademarks of their owner, used only to say which hardware this works with. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk.
FX Unleashed 0.5.2
Updates itself from 0.5.1: the banner (or the About tab) offers it, one click installs it, Roll back is there if you want the old one.
What's new
- Nine dashes come with the plugin. Nothing to download: the Mustang GT3, the McLaren 720S GT3 and Toyota GR010 Hybrid (LMU), APEX, HALO,
SLIPSTREAM and the three NOCTURNEs are in the dash list from the first start, with their credits. The two LMU dashes are converted for the FX Pro
screen from Redadeg's SimHub dashes on lmu-dashboards.com. They are read-only (Save a copy to change one),
the library shows them as installed, and a newer version installed from the library takes their place. - Library dashes can carry checked scripts. A few dashes need a little memory ("show LIFT until the driver brakes"), which takes a
js:formula.
That is code SimHub runs, so the library only takes scripts made of a short list of safe parts: no loops, noeval, no functions of their own,
nothing that reaches outside the dash. It is checked when a dash is submitted, over the whole library, and again by the plugin before it installs
anything. A dash with one says Contains a checked script (in the plugin and on the website), and needs this version. The list is in
SCRIPTS.md; a scripts folder is still never allowed. - Library. The McLaren 720S GT3 and Toyota GR010 Hybrid are in the library too.
Everything else is as in 0.5.1.
Requirements
SimHub 9.11 or newer, SimPro Manager 3 (V3.2.2 tested) for standard mode, an FX Pro or GT Neo. Tested by the maintainer on one FX Pro on an Alpha EVO

FX Unleashed v0.5.1
FX Unleashed is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Simagic. Simagic and FX Pro are trademarks of their owner, used only to say which hardware this works with. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk.
FX Unleashed 0.5.1
Updates itself from 0.5.0: the banner (or the About tab) offers it, one click installs it, Roll back is there if you want the old one.
What's new
- Custom firmware. What we called the "wheel app" is now the custom firmware, everywhere. The setup guide has the right SimPro steps
(Settings > Update > Manual Firmware Flash, then Flash on the FX PRO row), and the plugin's own texts say the same. - Dash designer: Wheel traffic. A new pill and tab show what your dash sends to the wheel over a demo lap: the average and busiest second
against the screen's 25 KB/s, flashing updates, which elements send the most (click one to select it), a graph, and Fix them for text on a
border line. The same three gates the/create-dashcommand uses, live while you edit. It can measure with rectangles or with the RAM patch. - Updates. The plugin looks for updates at every start and every 6 hours while SimHub is open (it was once a day), and the update banner is shorter.
- Library.
- The dashes library opens expanded, and a dash you already have in your folder shows as installed instead of offering Install again.
- Screensavers have their own library on the Idle tab, also open by default, and Share... on your own screensavers packages them for the library.
- The Package dialog asks What is it? (dash or screensaver), the submit form asks the same, and the bot checks they agree.
- The Package dialog no longer talks about pull requests or a maintainer adding it: a package that passes the checks is published on the spot.
- SimHub device. A section brightness of 0 in SimHub now means off (it left the LEDs dimly lit). The device's mapping is tested against the wheel model.
- Lights guide. New: the FX Pro in SimHub's Devices and ATSR-Hub, with the ATSR-Hub profile to download
(it is also in this zip, renamed for FX Unleashed inside) and where each SimHub light lands on the wheel. - The guide. The screen check says what a green card and a solid red screen mean and where to go next; the dash button is no longer called "button 40".
Everything else is as in 0.5.0.
Install and update
From 0.5.0: let it update itself (About tab). New install: close SimHub, copy User.FXProRpmSync.dll from the zip into your SimHub folder, start SimHub,

FX Unleashed v0.5.0
FX Unleashed is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Simagic. Simagic and FX Pro are trademarks of their owner, used only to say which hardware this works with. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Use it at your own risk.
FX Unleashed 0.5.0
The first stable release under the new name (the plugin was FXPro RPM Sync up to 0.2.x). Install it over the old one: same DLL,
same settings file, your settings carry over (the old file is copied to settings-backup-format0.json first). After this one the
plugin updates itself.
What it is
A free SimHub plugin for the Simagic FX Pro (GT Neo too). Standard mode works with stock firmware through SimPro: each car's
real shift lights, the dash per car, SimHub's data on the wheel's own dashes. Unleashed mode talks to the wheel over its own
USB cable and needs the custom firmware: your own dashes on the 800x480 screen, all 38 lights in any colour, screensavers,
alerts, a screen mirror for OBS, the dash button and paddles as buttons.
Highlights since 0.2.x
- Dashes: a designer in the browser, SimHub dash import, per-car lists, and the library (SLIPSTREAM, APEX, HALO and NOCTURNE
in three colours, plus a Paddock clock screensaver, more coming), installed in a click from the plugin or from fxunleashed.com. - Sharing: import a dash file (button or drop it on the Dashes tab), Share your own as one file, Copy link on library
items, and Package for the library + a no-Git form that publishes what passes the checks on the spot. - Lights: 14 presets that follow the car's state, an editor per group, alerts in your order (flags, spotter, ABS/TC, pit
limiter, low fuel, invalid lap), rev lights from each car's real shift lights (AMS2 from the game's own files, other games from
Lovely Car Data), ATSR-Hub or any SimHub LED profile as the source. - Wheel: 48 buttons with the dash button and upper paddles chosen by you, clutch modes, live button numbers.
- Updates: a banner offers new versions, one click installs, one click rolls back (it also rolls back by itself after three
failed starts). Stable and Beta channels. - GT Neo: every light in USB mode, ring gauges, the same presets.
Requirements
SimHub 9.11 or newer, SimPro Manager 3 (V3.2.2 tested) for standard mode, an FX Pro or GT Neo. Tested by the maintainer on one
FX Pro on an Alpha EVO base: other bases, wheels and games may behave differently, so please report what you find.
Install and update
Close SimHub, copy User.FXProRpmSync.dll from the zip into your SimHub folder, start SimHub, turn the plugin on. After that it
updates itself (About tab). (If you tried a beta before beta 3, install this one by hand too: those builds couldn't update themselves.) Guide: https://fxunleashed.com/start/
