Agent Controller v1.0.2

Agent Controller 1.0.2 is a visual refinement release. It modernizes the desktop workspace and controller overlays while preserving the v1 input mapping and Micro-first behavior.

Highlights

  • Reworked the main window into a modern, frameless, minimal workspace with clearer hierarchy and less persistent instructional text.
  • Introduced a restrained crystal-backplate material for the application shell, notifications, action panels, Agent panels, and sidebar navigation overlays.
  • Kept physical controls visually distinct as keycaps while simplifying non-key surfaces into quiet frosted panels and separators.
  • Improved controller glyphs, connected tutorial tabs, compact English labels, scalable text-size presets, and full-message hover details.
  • Removed redundant ABXY and navigation instruction strips from controller popups.
  • Fixed long tooltip clipping by wrapping plain-text hover content without changing structured tooltips.

No controller mapping or Micro protocol behavior is intentionally changed in this release.

Validation

  • All 804 tests in the main solution pass.
  • The crystal action, Agent, sidebar, and notification surfaces were rendered off-screen and visually checked.

The Windows x64 package is self-contained and does not require a separate .NET Runtime. Device Support remains an optional, separately reviewed component.

Agent Controller 1.0.2 是一次以界面美化为主的版本更新。它重新整理了桌面工作区与手柄弹层的视觉层级,同时保持 v1 手柄映射和 Micro-first 行为不变。

本版本不计划改变手柄映射或 Micro 协议行为。

验证

  • 主解决方案 804 项测试全部通过。
  • 动作、Agent、侧边栏与通知水晶面板均完成离屏渲染和视觉检查。

Windows x64 包为自包含版本,不需要另行安装 .NET Runtime。Device Support 仍是需要单独审查的可选组件。

Agent Controller v1.0.0

Agent Controller v1 maps a physical gamepad to Codex Micro controls. A single Broker and the optional CodexMicroVhfUm UMDF2/VHF device component pass input to Codex's own codex-micro-service and codex-micro-bridge. Thread, Turn, Steer, Queue, Stop, and other application-level actions that are not Micro device controls continue to use their corresponding adapters.

Highlights

  • The right stick follows one fixed Micro-first contract: up or left emits ENC_CW; down or right emits ENC_CC; a short R3 press emits ENC to open, enter, or confirm.
  • In a Micro menu session opened through R3, B emits AG00. The current official bridge converts Agent key 1 to Escape in this context and suppresses Agent-slot switching. Native Back fallback is allowed only when driver delivery explicitly returns NotSent.
  • LT push-to-talk, X submit, and verified Command/Agent slots prefer real Micro signals. No second UIA or keyboard action is injected after Accepted or OutcomeUnknown.
  • Agent Controller and the desktop Micro simulator can coexist through one per-user Broker. The Broker exclusively owns the driver handle, global sequence, and output/RPC reader while separately managing client leases, held keys, PTT release, and analog neutral state.
  • Menu enumerates and foregrounds real Codex main windows. When multiple main windows exist, repeated presses cycle between them without selecting tool windows or popups.
  • The interactive home tutorial, hierarchical sidebar, action panel, six-slot Agent panel, and bilingual prompts now follow the v1 control contract.

Installation

  1. Download AgentController-1.0.0-win-x64.zip and its .sha256 file, verify the SHA-256 value, and extract the archive.
  2. Run AgentController.exe. The application is self-contained and does not require a separate .NET Runtime.
  3. Connect an XInput gamepad, launch Codex Desktop, and enable the Bridge in Agent Controller.
  4. For the complete Micro-first HID path, separately install the matching CodexMicroVhfUm Device Support component. This public release provides an unsigned developer-driver workflow only: users must review, build, or locally sign it. Do not disable Windows driver-signing enforcement or install certificates from untrusted sources.

Without the driver, Agent Controller attempts limited compatibility fallbacks only after an explicit NotSent result; this is not full Micro compatibility. See the unsigned-driver guide and English installation tutorial.

Validation

  • All 797 tests in the main solution passed, including 739 WPF application regression tests.
  • All 47 virtual-micro desktop tests and 5 protocol tests passed.
  • The compatibility manifest includes Codex Desktop 26.715.4045.0. Unknown newer builds enter a yellow unreviewed-compatibility state; a hash mismatch for a known build still blocks the connection.
  • The tested controller baseline includes 8BitDo Ultimate 2, Xbox Series, and Flydigi Vader 4 Pro. Other XInput gamepads still require physical validation.

Automated checks do not replace end-to-end acceptance against the current Codex build, account, model, and physical controller. In particular, retest R3 → Advanced/submenu → B, PTT release, simultaneous dual-client input, and multi-window foreground activation.

Security and limitations

  • Neither the application nor the developer driver has commercial code signing. Windows SmartScreen or driver policy may block them.
  • Codex Micro compatibility is based on an observed private contract, not a stable public ABI promised by OpenAI. Codex updates may change the HID bridge, layout, or accessibility tree.
  • A transport ACK proves only that a report entered the device path; it does not prove that a UI or business action completed.
  • This project is independent and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by OpenAI, Codex, or Work Louder.

Agent Controller v1.0.0(简体中文)

Agent Controller v1 将实体手柄映射为 Codex Micro 控件,并通过单一 Broker 与可选的 CodexMicroVhfUm UMDF2/VHF 设备支持,把输入交给 Codex 自带的 codex-micro-servicecodex-micro-bridge。Thread、Turn、Steer、Queue 和 Stop 等不属于 Micro 设备的业务语义仍使用相应的应用层适配器。

主要变化

  • 右摇杆采用固定的 Micro-first 合同:上或左发送 ENC_CW,下或右发送 ENC_CC;R3 短按发送 ENC,负责打开、进入和确认。
  • B 在由 R3 建立的 Micro 菜单会话中发送 AG00。当前官方 bridge 会把菜单上下文中的 Agent 键 1 转换为 Escape,并阻止 Agent 槽位切换;只有驱动明确 NotSent 时才允许进入原生退出回退。
  • LT 的按住说话、X 的提交以及已验证的 Command/Agent 槽位优先发送真实 Micro 信号;AcceptedOutcomeUnknown 后禁止双发。
  • Agent Controller 与桌面 Micro 模拟器通过同一当前用户 Broker 共存。Broker 独占驱动句柄、全局 sequence 和 output/RPC reader,并分别管理客户端 lease、held key、PTT release 与 analog neutral。
  • 菜单键会枚举真正的 Codex 主窗口并置前;存在多个主窗口时可以循环选择,不再误命中工具窗或 popup。
  • 首页动态教程、侧边栏目录、动作面板、Agent 六槽面板和中英文提示已经同步到 v1 操作合同。

安装

  1. 下载 AgentController-1.0.0-win-x64.zip 与对应 .sha256,核对 SHA-256 后解压。
  2. 运行 AgentController.exe。应用为 self-contained,不需要另装 .NET Runtime。
  3. 连接 XInput 手柄,启动 Codex Desktop,并确认 Agent Controller 中的桥接已开启。
  4. 如需完整 Micro-first HID 路径,另行安装与当前版本匹配的 CodexMicroVhfUm Device Support。当前公开发行只提供未签名开发者驱动流程,必须由用户审查、构建或在本机签名;不要关闭 Windows 驱动签名强制或安装来源不明的证书。

已验证范围

  • 主解决方案自动化测试 797 项通过,其中 WPF 应用回归测试 739 项。
  • virtual-micro 桌面测试 47 项、协议测试 5 项通过。
  • 当前兼容清单包含 Codex Desktop 26.715.4045.0;未知新构建只进入黄色的未审核兼容状态,已知构建哈希不匹配仍会阻止连接。
  • 已实测的控制器基线包括 8BitDo Ultimate 2、Xbox Series 与 Flydigi Vader 4 Pro;其他 XInput 手柄仍需真机验证。

本版本让屏幕模拟器主动抵消 Codex 面向实体设备的闲置熄灯,并把 Micro 资源指纹检查改为提示性诊断。

修复

  • Codex 发送六槽 off 节能帧后,模拟器立即回送一次 ACT11 松开事件,请求 Codex 恢复其真实灯光模型。
  • ACT11 松开事件会被当前 Codex Micro 灯光服务计为输入活动,但被界面桥接层明确忽略,不会提交、导航、切换任务或留下按下状态。
  • 每次熄灯周期只发送一次唤醒事件;收到真实的非全灭灯光帧后,才允许下一次节能唤醒,避免循环发送。
  • 启动和重新连接时不再伪造中性蓝灯;尚未收到真实灯光时保持熄灭。
  • 未收录的新 Codex、已收录构建的资源哈希变化、指纹无法读取或包布局变化,均只以第一盏黄灯提示并继续尝试连接,不再因指纹异常显示红灯或拒绝连接。
  • 常态连接文字不显示黄色告警;诊断原因只放在第一盏黄灯的悬停提示中。真正的驱动、Broker 或 HID 失败仍按实际链路状态报告。

Codex Micro Simulator v1.0.1

本版本修复了遇到新版 Codex(ChatGPT)时,仅因该构建尚未进入审核清单就直接拒绝连接的问题。

修复

  • 新增兼容性三态:已审核构建正常连接;未审核的新构建以第一盏黄灯提示并继续连接;已知构建指纹不匹配仍以红灯阻止。
  • 补充 Codex 26.715.4045.0 的精确 Micro 资源指纹。
  • 屏幕模拟器不再套用实体键盘的闲置熄灯表现:收到全槽 off 帧时保留最近一次有效灯色;如果启动时已处于闲置,则使用中性蓝色常亮;下一帧真实状态到来后继续实时更新。
  • 常态连接文字不显示黄色告警;兼容模式的详细原因只保留在第一盏黄灯的悬停提示中。

说明

该兼容策略没有关闭安全检查。能够读取 app.asar 但尚未审核的新版本允许尝试连接;已经收录的构建如果资源哈希变化,仍会被判定为不兼容并拒绝连接。

Codex Micro Simulator v1.0.0

Codex Micro Simulator is an independent Windows desktop implementation of the Codex Micro keypad. This release is only for the simulator and its companion virtual HID driver; it does not contain an Agent Controller release.

Highlights

  • Transparent, resizable keypad window that opens at 75% scale, with Always on Top, notification-area controls, hover help, and an original simulator icon.
  • Direct Codex Micro communication through a Microsoft VHF/UMDF2 virtual HID, including a restricted VHF keyboard child for native confirmation dialogs.
  • Responsive white encoder navigation by wheel or vertical drag, click-to-open/confirm behavior, live menu-position feedback, bounded input coalescing, and stale-input rejection.
  • Six Agent slots driven by Codex lighting reports; hover text shows project › task title when the official recent-task roster can be proven from local Codex state.
  • Codex action keys, push-to-talk, draggable joystick with directional recesses, Micro settings routing, and HID reconnect controls.
  • Single-instance protection prevents duplicate pointer hooks, repeated encoder input, and split Agent-light snapshots.

The portable archive contains the application only. Install the VHF driver first, extract the complete app archive, and run CodexMicroSimulator.exe as a normal user.

The driver archive is intentionally unsigned and contains no certificate or private key. It is not directly installable as a production driver. Follow the English signing and installation guide or the 中文说明.

Validation

  • Desktop tests: 45 passed.
  • Protocol tests: 5 passed.
  • App, UMDF2 driver, and native installer rebuilt from the final release branch.
  • Portable app verified as version 1.0.0.0: 473 files, no PDB files.
  • Driver archive verified: 21 files, all 20 internal SHA-256 entries matched, no certificate/private-key/debug artifacts.
  • Driver DLL, catalog, and native installer verified as NotSigned; no dynamic Visual C++ runtime dependency was found.
  • Both external archive checksums matched after clean extraction.
  • Single-instance launch regression passed: the second process exited cleanly while exactly one responsive simulator remained.

Windows 10/11 x64 only. Codex desktop updates can change its Micro protocol or mappings and may require a compatibility update.

This prerelease introduces a second implementation route alongside Agent Controller: an independent desktop simulation of the Codex Micro keypad. The virtual keypad has now completed end-to-end bring-up against the Codex desktop app through a Microsoft VHF/UMDF2 virtual HID.

The portable archive contains the application only. Install the VHF driver first, extract the whole archive, and run CodexMicroSimulator.exe as a normal user.

Unsigned developer driver package

The developer archive contains the prebuilt UMDF2 DLL, unsigned catalog, INF, statically linked native PnP helper, relevant source, and the local signing/install script. It includes no certificate or private key. The DLL, catalog, and helper were checked as NotSigned after clean extraction.

For local development, install Visual Studio/Build Tools 2022 with Desktop development with C++, MSVC v143 x64/x86 tools, x64/x86 Spectre-mitigated libraries, Windows SDK 10.0.26100.0, and MSBuild. Restore pinned WDK NuGet package Microsoft.Windows.WDK.x64 10.0.26100.6584, then run Install-CodexMicroDriver.ps1 from an elevated PowerShell. The script creates a non-exportable certificate on that computer, signs the DLL, regenerates the catalog with the new DLL hash, signs the catalog, installs the device, and verifies it. No C/C++ compilation is needed when using the prebuilt developer archive.

Building from source uses the same driver toolchain. .NET SDK 9 is required only for the simulator app and tests, not for the UMDF2 driver itself.

Validation

  • Codex desktop 26.715.3651.0 compatibility probe passed.
  • Microsoft VHF device connected with both vendor HID and restricted keyboard children.
  • Protocol tests: 5 passed.
  • Desktop tests: 29 passed.
  • Clean desktop, UMDF2 driver, and native installer builds completed.
  • The driver DLL and native installer now statically link their C/C++ runtimes; clean dependency inspection shows no Visual C++ Redistributable dependency.
  • A locally signed installation of the packaged driver returned protocol magic VCM1, version 1, flags 0x3, and zero dropped output reports.
  • The unsigned archive was extracted and verified: 21 files, no certificate/private-key/debug artifacts, three executable artifacts all NotSigned, and all internal SHA-256 entries matched.
  • The portable archive was extracted into a clean directory and started successfully without a separately installed .NET runtime.
  • Repeated launch regression: the second process exits cleanly and exactly one simulator remains active.

Known issues

  • Agent lights can occasionally lag or miss one state update; a later full six-slot snapshot normally restores the display.
  • The driver build can emit NU1603 when NuGet resolves Windows SDK C++ package 10.0.26100.1 in place of 10.0.26100; the tested build still completes successfully.
  • Codex desktop updates can change its Micro protocol or mappings and may require a compatibility update.
  • Windows 10/11 x64 only.

这是 Agent Controller 手柄路线之外的第二种实现:一套完全独立的 Codex Micro 桌面虚拟小键盘。目前虚拟键盘已经通过微软 VHF/UMDF2 虚拟 HID 与 Codex 桌面端完成实际联调,按键、旋钮、摇杆、Micro 设置路由和 Agent 状态报告均已走通。

Release 现已提供 self-contained Windows x64 便携应用,不需要另外安装 .NET Runtime;同时提供一个明确标为 UNSIGNED-DEVELOPER 的预编译驱动开发包。它省掉 C/C++ 编译步骤,适合审计和本机二次签名,但下载状态下不是可直接安装的正式驱动。

未签名开发包不包含证书或私钥。安装 Visual Studio/Build Tools 2022、C++ 桌面工作负载、v143 x64/x86 工具、Spectre 缓解库、Windows SDK 10.0.26100.0 和 MSBuild,并还原固定的 WDK NuGet 包 10.0.26100.6584 后,在管理员 PowerShell 运行 Install-CodexMicroDriver.ps1。脚本会在本机生成不可导出的测试证书,依次签 DLL、重新生成并签 catalog,然后安装和验证设备;使用预编译包时无需重新编译 C/C++。

公开生产分发仍需走适用的微软驱动签名流程;本机测试签名不能替代正式签名。

定位与风险

v0.7 是实验性 Windows 原型,由 Codex 使用 GPT-5.6 Sol 在一天内完成。
代码与发布包没有经过独立人工代码/安全审计,二进制未签名。Codex 更新可能
改变快捷键或辅助功能树,使 UI Automation 失效或误操作。请先审查源码,
只在非关键任务中试用,并自行承担风险。

v0.7 交付内容

  • Codex 已在前台时,连接手柄回中后自动启用;Menu 只负责需要时唤醒、置前。
  • 简易模式直接控制实时 Power、Standard 与 Fast;短按 R3 通过官方
    composer.openModelPicker 选择模型(含 5.6 Sol Max),不枚举 UIA 列表;
    Sol Max 没有原生 Power 时仍会明确询问是否改为高级模式;快捷键冲突或写入失败
    会在输入前拦截,不会误进入模型菜单状态。
  • 模型选择器是 Compact/Advanced/Model/Effort/Speed 层级菜单;A/Enter 后继续持有
    原生会话,直到 B/R3 显式结束,防止右摇杆在中间层错误降级成 F17/F18。
  • 高级模式严格按屏幕从上到下导航,低档在最上;R3 再按一次或 B 退出菜单。
  • 右摇杆保持满推时约 2 秒逐渐加速,最终速度同时受摇杆倾斜深度影响。
  • RB+Y 使用实时速度控件和界面回读,不盲发 Fast 快捷键。
  • X 在兼容的 VHF Broker 可用时优先发送官方默认 Micro ACT12;只有确定
    NotSent 才进入 composer.submit 快捷键降级。可能已经提交但 ACK 丢失时
    禁止双发;只有发送前观察到非空草稿、发送后观察到清空才报成功,未验证发送
    显示“发送未确认”,不再误报元素不支持。
  • B 在普通 Base 和 RT Stop 场景都需按住 3 秒,屏幕倒计时结束后才取消当前
    运行;局部菜单、语音、选择和导航撤回仍是短按取消。
  • LB Agent 键盘已绑定 rollout 生命周期与官方持久未读集合;精确审批/回应状态
    留给可选 VHF Broker。
  • 十字键上下短按切换用户消息,不显示额外成功 popup;长按上 4 秒置顶,
    长按下 3 秒置底。
  • Y 动作面板的十字键上新建任务;Plan 手柄入口暂时移除并记入 TODO。
  • v0.7 不包含或安装虚拟 HID 驱动;v.oai.rad 兼容研究仅保留为未来实验计划。

已知限制

  • 当前实测设备包括 8BitDo Ultimate 2、Xbox Series 与 Flydigi Vader 4 Pro;
    更多 XInput 手柄仍需真机验收。
  • Power、审批、Steer/Queue 等动作仍依赖当前 Codex 辅助功能树;简易模型选择
    已改走官方命令快捷键与原生方向键/Enter/Escape。
  • SendInput 成功不是 composer.openModelPicker 的动作回执。首次新增快捷键后若
    Codex 未热加载需重启一次;选择叶子后也需 B/R3 显式结束本地模型会话,仍需
    当前版本真机冒烟。
  • 部分功能在首次写入或更新 Codex 快捷键后,需要重启 Codex 桌面软件
    ( ChatGPT)才能生效。
  • Sol Max 的当前原生菜单只有 Model / Effort / Speed,不提供简易 Power;
    这是能力差异,不应通过 Reset to default 暗中修改用户选择。
  • 单元测试和 Release 编译不能替代真实手柄到当前 Codex UI 的端到端测试。

发布包

运行 scripts/package-release.ps1 会生成自包含的 Windows x64 zip 与 SHA-256
校验文件到 dist/。自包含包无需另外安装 .NET Runtime,但仍要求 Windows 10
build 19041 或更新版本、Codex 桌面版与 XInput 兼容手柄。语音功能另需麦克风设备。
