Release list
AIY Desktop 0.3.3
AIY 0.3.3
AIY 0.3.3 refines the local-first creation and media workflow, improves startup behavior, and prepares the first Microsoft Store package. It keeps the immutable 0.3.0 product-data baseline and advances the database schema once, from public revision 2 to revision 3.
Highlights
- Organize imported and generated outputs in batches, with clearer prompt, provenance, version, and destination previews.
- Choose creation covers, hide unwanted outputs from presentation views, and keep those decisions across restarts.
- Browse creation and material albums with improved previews, hierarchy handling, navigation, and empty states.
- Recover images from failed AIY generation runs through Codex image discovery, or import selected Codex results as external creations.
- Import SVG artwork through the sandboxed validation and rasterization path.
- Use the expanded local Codex, Gemini, and Antigravity integration routes when their required accounts or runtimes are configured.
- Start faster by deferring non-critical workspace loading and avoiding unnecessary dense-view visual work.
- Open the privacy policy or report inappropriate AI-generated content privately from Settings.
Microsoft Store package
The Store submission package is Windows Desktop x64 with identity Gantrol.AIY and package version 1.3.3.0. The upload artifact is intentionally unsigned; Microsoft re-signs accepted MSIX packages after certification.
The Store package contains only the lightweight creation-starter content pack. Production portrait content is not bundled and can be added only through the explicit content-pack importer.
Data compatibility
- Product data baseline:
0.3.0(unchanged). - Database schema revision:
3. - Released revision-1 and revision-2 spaces migrate forward in a transaction.
- Opening a registered space still fails closed when its expected database file is missing.
- Existing released SQL migrations remain immutable; 0.3.3 adds only the revision-3 creation-presentation migration files.
Provider and privacy notes
AIY does not require an AIY cloud account. Local-space metadata and managed media remain on the user's device by default. Provider-backed AI features send only the inputs selected for a user-initiated request to the configured provider and remain subject to that provider's terms, privacy policy, regional availability, and billing.
Optional integrations that remain on 0.1.x versions are early features and may require their own acceptance checks. No provider credentials are included in the application package.
AIY 0.3.1
AIY 0.3.1
AIY 0.3.1 adds the first macOS distribution for Apple Silicon Macs and provides Windows x64 packages built from the same release tag. It keeps the released 0.3.0 application and data baseline and includes release-gate fixes discovered while validating the macOS build.

Security notices
The Windows packages are not Authenticode-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may identify the publisher as unknown. Verify the package against SHA256SUMS.txt before opening it.
The macOS packages are not Apple Developer-signed or notarized, so macOS Gatekeeper may block the first launch. The application bundle carries only an ad-hoc code signature so its arm64 binaries remain executable after packaging. An ad-hoc signature does not establish publisher identity and does not replace Developer ID signing or notarization.
Release validation
Windows x64 packages passed formatting, lint, TypeScript, 503 Vitest tests, coverage thresholds, production bundling, packaged-resource and native-module architecture checks, and ZIP integrity validation.
The macOS arm64 packages passed formatting, lint, TypeScript, 503 Vitest tests, coverage thresholds, all 24 Electron E2E tests, production bundling, deep code-signature verification, mounted-DMG startup smoke testing, DMG verification, and ZIP integrity checks.
Release-gate fixes include:
- Normalized macOS temporary-directory fixtures so
/varand its canonical/private/vartarget are tested consistently without weakening production path-containment checks. - Removed the obsolete pinned image-runtime workaround; image generation now uses the configured CLI unless an explicit diagnostic override is supplied.
- Set the AIY Dock icon explicitly on macOS development and validation launches.
- Ad-hoc signed the complete macOS bundle after Electron fuse patching.
- Raised the sandboxed image-decoder ceiling to a bounded 32 megapixels while retaining the 128 MB output limit.
- Re-anchored the coverage gate to the measured
0.3.1release-source baseline.
Compatibility boundary
AIY 0.3.1 uses the released 0.3.0 database baseline. It does not adopt, migrate, repair, or replace development and pre-release databases.

AIY 0.3.0
AIY 0.3.0
AIY 0.3.0 is the first public release and the first frozen application and data baseline. This release provides Windows 10/11 x64 packages. macOS packages are not part of this release.

The initial Windows packages are not Authenticode-signed. Windows SmartScreen may therefore show an unrecognized-app warning. Verify the downloaded file against SHA256SUMS.txt before running it.
Highlights
- Local-first spaces backed by SQLite and managed media storage.
- Image creation workflows with prompt versions, reference images, result comparison, annotations, retries, and imports.
- Dictionary, word-palette, gallery, album, metadata, and provenance workflows.
- Local-space creation, registration, switching, backup boundaries, and custom covers.
- Extension-based image providers and local Codex integrations.
- GPT Image 2 production-provider smoke validation completed for the release candidate.
Compatibility boundary
AIY 0.3.0 accepts spaces created against its released 0.3.0 database baseline. Development databases and pre-release schemas are intentionally not migrated, adopted, repaired, or replaced. If a registered space's database file is missing, AIY fails closed rather than creating an empty replacement.
Optional provider extensions that remain at version 0.1.0 have not completed the same production API validation and are not part of the stable 0.3.0 provider commitment.
Data and external services
Application data is stored locally by default. When an external image or assistant provider is used, the request data selected for that operation is sent to that provider under its own terms. Credentials are configured separately from model selection and are not bundled with the application.
