PS4Mount 0.4.0
Add-ons, groups of games and settings
New
- Add-ons (DLC), with data or unlock-only. Add-on pkgs are moved next to their game (
ps4/<GAME>/addcont/<ADD-ON TID>/<LABEL>/ac.pkg) and matched by title ID or by the add-on IDs the game lists, so add-ons with another title ID than the game work too. A game is reported ready only after its add-ons are installed. - Groups of games: new games are added 5 at a time (configurable), with one system registration per group and a pause between groups, so drives with dozens of games do not overload the console.
- Settings page in the web panel: folders to search for pkgs (relative to each drive, the root by default), groups on/off and group size, add-ons on/off.
- Waiting add-ons: add-ons whose game is not on the drive wait and are installed as soon as the game is there; one notification per drive says how many are waiting.
- Unit tests (
bash test/run.sh), run before every build.
Fixes
- Rest mode no longer removes the games from their mounts; they work again after waking up.
- A blocked system registration (seen after rest mode) no longer freezes PS4Mount.
- The web panel answers again after rest mode, and a second PS4Mount can no longer start next to the first.
- "Failed to mount" caused by a mount left from a disconnected drive.
- Add-ons of a game served from another drive are no longer logged as installed on the console.
Good to know
- A running game can use at most about 29 add-ons next to its game and update pkgs: the console has 64 devices for mounting packages and each package uses two. This is a console limit that applies to installed games too.
- Two or more drives connected at the same time (or a drive with extra partitions) can make the whole console interface slow, with or without PS4Mount.

PS4Mount 0.3.4
app.db is read without locks
- Fix: reading
app.dbcould also make the system flag it as corrupted. The registered titles are now read in one query at most once a second, with the file opened without locks, so a write of the system is never blocked. - Kernel log lines about SQLite or database corruption are copied to the PS4Mount log.

The system databases are only written by the system
- Fix: the system flagged
app.dbas corrupted (and rebuilt its databases at the next boot) after many games were added. PS4Mount wrote its own library rows next to the system's; it now never writes to the system databases, and titles are registered by the system alone. - Titles the system did not register are tried again every 5 minutes instead of on every scan, with a single notification.
- Fix: a game present on two connected drives was registered again on every scan. The drive that serves it first keeps it; the other copy is shown as "On another drive" in the panel.
For games with an update, the library now shows the version of the game pkg; the update is still applied.

PS4Mount 0.3.2
Deletes no longer touch the pkgs on the drive
- Fix: deleting a game from the console (home screen or Settings > Storage) could delete its pkgs from the drive. The drive is no longer mounted over
/user/app/<TITLE_ID>: each game gets an internal folder (/system_data/ps4mount/...) with the generated install files and links to the pkgs, so a delete can only remove the links. The read-only/read-write switching is gone. - Fix: game folders are unmounted while a delete screen is open, so the system removes the game without error CE-107812-9.
- Fix: partitions without games (for example a boot partition) no longer show "no PS4 games found".
- Fix: games stayed unmounted after a delete from the home screen.
Games set up by an older version are moved to the new layout on the first scan.
