v1.0.0
What's Changed
- build(deps): bump pkg-config from 0.3.32 to 0.3.33 in /rust in the rust-minor-patch group by @dependabot[bot] in #15
Full Changelog: v0.9.4...v1.0.0
v1.0.0-beta.4
v1.0.0-beta.3
v1.0.0-beta.2
v1.0.0-beta.1
What's new
- Session verification, rebuilt. Emoji and QR flows no longer hang, requests
from your other devices are answered instead of dropped, and a cancellation
says whether it was a security mismatch or just a timeout. - Emoji render in message text — blank on Linux and mismatched on Windows
before, now the same artwork everywhere. - A deleted session signs you out instead of retrying forever behind
"Waiting for network…".
Fixes
- Messages stuck on a glowing "unable to decrypt" bubble after verifying a
new device now decrypt on their own. - The unread counter and "unread messages" line could both be wrong on a
fresh login. - Clicking a notification keeps the room live, so it still marks read and
shows new messages. - Signing in after signing out failed on Windows until you restarted.

v0.9.4
New
- Update prompts in the chat list. A bar now appears at the bottom of the
chat list when a new version is available — Skip it (remembered for that
version) or Update, with download progress shown inline. Updates download
automatically by default, and applying one no longer freezes the window.
Fixed
- Clicking a desktop notification opens the message it was about, instead of
the chat's unread marker. - Saved Messages shows its own name and icon immediately at startup, rather
than briefly showing the underlying room name and avatar. - The chat list can no longer be dragged shut or squeezed below its minimum
width. - Linux: emoji inserted from the picker now render in the message box.
- Spanish: Rename and Sign out no longer clip on the Sessions page.

v0.9.3
What's new
- Auto-updates. The app checks for new versions, verifies each one's
signature, and installs it. Settings › About has the controls, including an
off switch and an optional Install beta versions toggle. - One macOS build for both chips. The DMG is now universal — Intel Macs are
supported again — and the app bundle is smaller than 0.9.1's despite covering
two architectures. - Emoji show up everywhere. They were drawn with the system font, so on
Linux — which ships no emoji font — nothing appeared at all. Emoji now come
from bundled artwork and look the same on every platform, in the picker,
reactions, jumbo messages and verification. - "Show in folder" works off macOS. Windows opens Explorer, Linux your file
manager, each with its own wording. - Sessions say which computer they are. New sign-ins register as
"TeleMatrix Desktop: macOS" rather than a bare "TeleMatrix".
