Installation Instructions

Caution

INSTALLING A NEW VERSION OF EXTRA SCIENCE WILL UNDO ANY CUSTOMIZATIONS YOU'VE MADE TO THE SCRIPTS. Installing a new version of EDDI itself will not.

1. Close EDDI and Elite: Dangerous if open
2. Find your EDDI install folder (typically C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\EDDI)
3. Inside the \personalities folder, delete Extra-Science.json and any Extra-Science.json.bak files
4. Drop the downloaded .json into the \personalities folder
5. Open EDDI and navigate to the "Speech Responder" tab on the left sidebar
6. Find the "Active Personality" dropdown menu in the top-middle-left of the main window and select "Extra-Science"
