Pasted 1.0 is the first stable release of the local, privacy-first clipboard manager for macOS, with preview builds for Linux and experimental builds for Windows.

Highlights

  • Searchable history for text, images, screenshots, PDFs, and copied files, with Bins, Smart Bins, pinning, protection, notes, Trash, revisions, Activity, and a persistent Copy Queue.
  • Local Analysis with structural and media inspection, OCR, transcription, visual labels, editable Content Types and Classifiers, and explicit Smart Action suggestions.
  • Deterministic and intelligence-assisted Transforms, including first-class on-device Apple Intelligence on supported Macs and fail-closed structured-output validation across providers.

Standalone pasted CLI binaries, updater signatures, per-platform SHA-256 manifests, source and exact-artifact SPDX SBOMs, third-party notices, and the matching Homebrew Cask are included with this release.

Privacy and verification

Pasted stores its library locally and includes no analytics or telemetry. Intelligence-assisted Transforms contact a provider only when explicitly run through an enabled connection; Apple Intelligence runs through the on-device system model when available.

Production dependencies are checked against reviewed open-source license, advisory, and mission policies. The macOS artifact was verified for disk-image integrity, universal Apple Silicon and Intel architectures, nested CLI and app signatures, Developer ID acceptance, Gatekeeper acceptance, and its stapled notarization ticket. Use the included SHA-256 manifests to verify downloads.

Updates

Open Settings → About to check the signed update channel. Pasted asks before downloading and installing, verifies the updater signature, preserves the existing local library, and restarts into the new version. pasted update check --json exposes the same availability check for scripts.
