Pasted 1.0 is the first stable release of the local, privacy-first clipboard manager for macOS, with preview builds for Linux and experimental builds for Windows.

Privacy and verification

Pasted stores its library locally and includes no analytics or telemetry. Intelligence-assisted Transforms contact a provider only when explicitly run through an enabled connection; Apple Intelligence runs through the on-device system model when available.

Production dependencies are checked against reviewed open-source license, advisory, and mission policies. The macOS artifact was verified for disk-image integrity, universal Apple Silicon and Intel architectures, nested CLI and app signatures, Developer ID acceptance, Gatekeeper acceptance, and its stapled notarization ticket. Use the included SHA-256 manifests to verify downloads.

Updates

Open Settings → About to check the signed update channel. Pasted asks before downloading and installing, verifies the updater signature, preserves the existing local library, and restarts into the new version. pasted update check --json exposes the same availability check for scripts.

Highlights

• Moved release notes behind a concise View changes… control and now render them as GitHub-flavored Markdown in a focused dialog.
• Reworked the installation confirmation with a positive shield treatment and a short checklist covering library preservation, signature verification, mismatch rejection, and restart behavior.
• Added the initiating ellipsis to Install and restart… while keeping the final confirmation action immediate and unambiguous.
• Localized the complete update experience across Arabic, English, French, German, Hebrew, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.
• Added a repeatable browser preview for accepting updater UI changes before a release is cut.

RC7 users on the prerelease channel can open About and check for RC8 after the updater feed finishes publishing.

Pasted 1.0.0 RC7 is the signed-update acceptance candidate for the RC6 baseline. It repairs and validates the release path that publishes signed desktop updater artifacts and advances the prerelease update channel.

Highlights

• Repaired updater packaging, artifact naming, signing, release targeting, and channel publication so RC6 can discover and install RC7.
• Combined the About version display and update status into one clearer control.
• Prevented startup snapshots and background post-processing from returning clips that have already been moved to Trash.
• Limited the Wayland App Exclusions note to Linux, changed Search History to use a magnifying-glass icon, and renamed the Storage import action to Import….

This release is intended to exercise the complete signed RC6-to-RC7 update path before stable 1.0. RC6 users can open About and check for an update after the prerelease channel finishes publishing.

Pasted 1.0.0 RC6 is the first signed-update baseline for Pasted and adds first-class, on-device Apple Intelligence for Transforms on supported Macs.

Highlights

• Added Apple Intelligence as a first-class Transform provider, with shared GUI and CLI availability, execution, fallback, timeout, cancellation, and privacy-safe errors.
• Added provider-independent structured output using a bounded JSON Schema subset. Unsupported schemas fail before execution, and every provider response is validated before use.
• Corrected the shipped Extractor schema contract and expanded cross-provider validation coverage for objects, arrays, enums, bounds, patterns, nullability, required properties, and additional properties.
• Added signed, user-confirmed stable and prerelease update channels. Pasted asks before installing, verifies the updater signature, preserves the local library, and restarts into the new version.

RC6 must be installed manually because RC5 did not contain the updater. It establishes the baseline for the required RC6-to-RC7 (or later candidate) signed-update acceptance test before stable 1.0.
