Pasted 1.0.0 RC7 is the signed-update acceptance candidate for the RC6 baseline. It repairs and validates the release path that publishes signed desktop updater artifacts and advances the prerelease update channel.

Highlights

  • Repaired updater packaging, artifact naming, signing, release targeting, and channel publication so RC6 can discover and install RC7.
  • Combined the About version display and update status into one clearer control.
  • Prevented startup snapshots and background post-processing from returning clips that have already been moved to Trash.
  • Limited the Wayland App Exclusions note to Linux, changed Search History to use a magnifying-glass icon, and renamed the Storage import action to Import….

This release is intended to exercise the complete signed RC6-to-RC7 update path before stable 1.0. RC6 users can open About and check for an update after the prerelease channel finishes publishing.

Standalone pasted CLI binaries, updater signatures, per-platform SHA-256 manifests, source and exact-artifact SPDX SBOMs, third-party notices, and the matching Homebrew Cask are included with this release.

Privacy and verification

Pasted stores its library locally and includes no analytics or telemetry. Intelligence-assisted Transforms contact a provider only when explicitly run through an enabled connection; Apple Intelligence runs through the on-device system model when available.

The macOS draft artifact was downloaded back from GitHub and verified for disk-image integrity, universal architectures, nested CLI and app signatures, Developer ID acceptance, Gatekeeper acceptance, and the stapled DMG notarization ticket. Its downloaded installer and updater-bundle checksums match the included SHA256SUMS-macos.txt; use the corresponding manifests to verify downloads on other platforms.
