Added

This release marks a major step towards an agent-driven user experience for the Giant Swarm platform, including the portal. It brings working with agents to the front and makes it easy to start, review and resume agent sessions. Highlights:

• The new sidebar features starting a new session and access to recent sessions prominently. You can pin sessions important to you to keep them at the top. Agent Platform building blocks like models and agents can be found via "Customize". Here you can also browse available skills now.
• The Search function (Cmd/Ctrl+K) helps you to quickly jump to the sessions, agents, models you need, skipping the navigation.
• You can mark the agents you work with most as favorites. This helps you find them quickly, e.g. when starting a new session.
• The revamped Usage section gives you more details and a better overview about agent use and cost.

One notable name change: MCP Servers are now named "Connectors".

Note: Customers not using the Agent Platform yet won't experience any notable differences.

These changes came with PR 2899.

For operators, before upgrading

• A deployment with only the default app.portals.platformPortal: true shows no Agent Platform at all, even when app.extensions lists page:agent-platform. Set app.portals.agentPlatform: true to keep it. Where it stays off, the agent-platform-shell feature flag lets a single browser try it.
• agentPlatform.metaAgents.* must name the agent with its namespace, such as kagent/skill-creator instead of skill-creator. A bare name now matches nothing, and the feature it enables disappears without an error.
• Settings such as pinned sessions and favorite agents are stored by the new user-settings backend plugin, which needs a Postgres database to keep them across restarts.
• Skill discovery needs a GitHub token in integrations.github; without one, GitHub's anonymous rate limit empties the Skills tab. Avatars are served from avatars.<baseDomain>.
• The redirect from the old MCP Servers paths needs page:muster/mcp-servers-redirect enabled.
• New optional keys: agentPlatform.models.contextWindows, agentPlatform.integrations.slack and agentPlatform.integrations.slackDocsUrl. gs.githubRawContent.allowedOwners (default ["giantswarm"]) limits which GitHub owners' files are fetched with credentials.

Fixed

• (bot-prs) Report a GitHub rate limit once, with its reset, and hold marge calls until then by @QuentinBisson — When a person's GitHub API budget runs out, the Bot PRs page shows one warning, Your GitHub API budget is spent until <time>, and disables the buttons that call marge until then, instead of reporting every team as refused. Needs a marge that reports the reset time.
