This is not supposed to happen since 4.4, as there's an automatic fallback implemented by godotengine/godot#97142. There are some known bugs in the fallback though, such as godotengine/godot#104435. As a workaround, use |

AH, Indeed, and a bug was preventing me from realizing it. At least I assume it's a bug. Anyways, I'd like to leave this open on behalf of the confirmation dialog to make the automatic fallback a user directed fallback. |

The editor will soft-crash 100% of the timeTrying to open a Forward+ rendering mode project
