Playback errors are now visible, and AAC/M4A/ALAC play out of the box.

  • Clear playback errors. When a track can't be decoded, Flaccy now names it in a toast instead of silently refusing to start — and for a missing codec it tells you exactly what to install.
  • AAC/M4A/ALAC support. gst-libav is now a dependency (it supplies the ffmpeg-backed decoders). The AUR package pulls it automatically; if you install via the script, add it: Arch gst-libav, Debian/Ubuntu gstreamer1.0-libav, Fedora gstreamer1-libav.

Builds on 1.3.4's remastered full-window Now Playing.

Install: curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/guitaripod/flaccy/master/linux/get-flaccy.sh | sh — or flaccy-bin from the AUR.

Requires x86_64 and glibc ≥ 2.34 (Ubuntu 22.04+, Debian 12+, Fedora 35+, current Arch).
