• Updates install from inside the app. Download and Install in the Software Update window shows the download's progress, checks the new version (its checksum and its Apple Developer ID signature), and Restart and Install puts it in place and opens it again — or Install When I Quit does it at the next quit. After the restart the app says the update is installed. If this copy can't replace itself (for example, it runs from the disk image), the window says why and opens the downloaded disk image, with the steps to install it by hand.
• The release notes in that window show menu paths properly (Settings › General instead of empty boxes).

To get this version from 0.6.3 or older, download it from this page once: from 0.6.4 on, updates install themselves.

• Обновления устанавливаются прямо из приложения. «Скачать и установить» в окне «Обновление программы» показывает ход загрузки, проверяет новую версию (контрольную сумму и подпись Apple Developer ID), а «Перезапустить и установить» ставит её на место и открывает снова — или «Установить при выходе» сделает это при следующем закрытии. После перезапуска приложение сообщает, что обновление установлено. Если эта копия не может заменить себя сама (например, запущена прямо с образа диска), окно объясняет почему и открывает скачанный образ с шагами для ручной установки.
• Заметки о выпуске в этом окне правильно показывают пути в меню (Настройки › Общие вместо пустых квадратиков).

• Anthropic Claude and ElevenLabs join Google Gemini and OpenAI in Settings ▸ AI. Claude writes the texts (caption translation, highlights, YouTube texts, zooms by meaning); ElevenLabs recognises speech with a time for every word and the speakers.
• ElevenLabs voices in Text to Speech: load your account's voices, and they speak a narration in any language, pauses included.
• File ▸ New ▸ Generate Image…: a picture from a description (OpenAI or Google Gemini) in the sequence's shape, saved with the project's media and put on the timeline at the playhead.
• A sequence made from HDR footage (iPhone HLG, PQ) now works in Rec. 2100, so it shows in HDR on an XDR display instead of being turned into SDR.
• Jilo Studio checks for a new version once a day and tells you only when one is out. Turn it off in Settings ▸ General.
• MCP: every command has typed parameters, long work (translation, highlights, reframing, generated images, batches) runs as a job you can follow and cancel (jobs_list, job_cancel), and an assistant connected to the running app can use its menu commands too.
• Each cloud provider is asked about once before anything is sent to it; nothing changes for the work done on your Mac.

• A new icon: an aperture of six curved blades in violet on a dark plate.
• Video from an iPhone no longer shows black frames: about one frame a second (those shown just before each key frame) could not be decoded when the playhead or a render landed on it.
• Reframe to Face follows someone walking across the shot, and picks a lost speaker up again.
• The app menu says Jilo Studio however the app is started; the demo project is called Jilo Studio Demo.

Jilo Studio 0.6.0

The first release of Jilo Studio: a video editor for the Mac, based on FilmCraft 0.5 by the ArtCraft team. Apple silicon, macOS 15 Sequoia or later.

AI features (from Jilo Studio Web)

• Transcription in Russian, Tajik and English with a time for every word: Whisper large-v3 turbo on this Mac (offline, on the GPU), or Google Gemini / OpenAI with your own key.
• Remove silent pauses (by sound) and filler words, with every cut chosen by you.
• Caption translation into a new caption track.
• Highlights: viral, meaningful or fact-dense fragments as range markers, assembled into subsequences, a new sequence or the export queue.
• Auto Zoom: punch in on stressed phrases, by loudness (offline) or by meaning.
• YouTube title, description, tags, hashtags and chapters; the chapters become chapter markers and go into exported MP4/MOV files.
• Batch processing: the same steps over many sequences in the background.
• Reframe to Face: a vertical cut that follows the speaker, everyone in frame or a chosen face (Apple Vision, offline).
• The cloud is used only when you choose a cloud engine and run a feature; the app asks once per provider. Keys stay on this Mac, readable only by your account.

• Russian interface.
• HDR in the monitors on EDR displays; HDR sequences export as HEVC Main 10 (PQ / HLG).
• Hardware ProRes: 422 and 4444 decode and encode on the Apple media engines; ProRes 4444 and 4444 XQ export with alpha.
• Faster exports with effects on the GPU (Lumetri, keys, masks, Track Matte), natural Text to Speech voices on the GPU.
• Open projects and media from Finder and the Dock.
• Help ▸ Check for Updates.
• After a crash, the next launch shows what is known about it, to copy into an issue (nothing is sent).

Fixes

• About 3 GB less memory from launch: the search for a Chinese interface font no longer keeps every installed font in memory.
• Interlaced H.264 (camera MOV/MP4, AVCHD) decodes instead of showing black.
• Save / Don't Save / Cancel when quitting with unsaved changes.
• Many stability fixes from FilmCraft, including crashes and data loss in Replace Footage and the Project Manager.
