CS-Ray 2.0.0

Choose a tag to compare

@hamed7ir hamed7ir released this 13 Oct 20:06

This is a big one. The UI is new (MaterialSkin is gone) and a lot of protocols got added.

New

  • REALITY for VLESS, with a TLS 1.3 client written in C# that sends a Chrome-like hello
  • XTLS Vision (xtls-rprx-vision) over REALITY or normal TLS
  • XHTTP: stream-one over REALITY (HTTP/2) and packet-up over TLS
  • VMess now works over TLS, WebSocket, the HTTP header camouflage and XHTTP, not only plain tcp. It also does Xray's chunk masking and padding now.
  • WebSocket early data (?ed=2048 in the path), and the same request headers Xray sends
  • custom user ids (like hello instead of a UUID), mapped the same way Xray does it
  • HTTP header camouflage (headerType=http) for VLESS and VMess
  • subscriptions: Clash YAML in the one-line style subconverter makes, Clash network: http, and the sing-box http transport
  • VMess links with alterId more than 0 just connect now (AEAD, like Xray)
  • share a server or a subscription: right click it and pick Share. You get the link to copy and a QR code you can scan with your phone.
  • the installer is one exe now and it works on Windows RT too. There is also a portable zip.

Fixed and changed

  • adding the same server again updates it instead of making a copy. Servers that only differ by SNI, key, path or flow stay separate.
  • connections close properly when one side is done, and there is less noise in the log
  • XHTTP uploads are a lot faster on slow connections
  • mouse wheel scrolling in the server list and the log

Files

  • CS-Ray-Setup-2.0.0.exe: the installer. No admin needed.
  • CS-Ray-2.0.0-portable.zip: no install, settings stay in the folder.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt: checksums of both.

You need .NET Framework 4.7 or newer.

CS-Ray v1.1.0 — installs on Windows RT, no more UAC-on-launch, refreshed UI

Choose a tag to compare

@hamed7ir hamed7ir released this 08 Jul 22:26

CS-Ray is a pure-managed proxy client with a userspace TUN full-tunnel netstack for
legacy ARM32 Windows (Windows 10 ARM32 and jailbroken Windows RT 8.1) also installable on x86/x64 ( i daily drive it on my main machine), where native
cores like Xray/sing-box can't run. v1.1.0 makes it actually installable on RT and
smooths out the everyday experience.

Highlights

  • 🧩 Now installs on Windows RT / ARM32. New AnyCPU/MSIL installer — an Inno Setup
.exe physically can't launch on RT, so this one is compiled like the app. Per-user,
    no admin needed.
  • 🔓 No more UAC prompt on every launch. CS-Ray runs un-elevated and only asks for
administrator when you start full-tunnel/TUN (which truly needs it). System-proxy
    mode needs nothing.
  • 🚀 Start-at-login actually works now — silent, un-elevated (Settings toggle).
  • 🎨 Correct accent color on Windows 8.1 / RT + live accent changes (it read the
    wrong registry key before).
  • ✨ Refreshed UI — toggle switches instead of checkboxes, a side drawer menu,
    sectioned settings, rounded buttons.
  • 🖼️ App icon everywhere, and the tray icon shows your mode at a glance
    (idle / system-proxy / full-tunnel).
  • 🔒 About page with a clear promise: zero data collected, nothing sent anywhere —
no telemetry, no analytics, no phone-home.
It connects only to the servers you add.

Install

  • Windows 11/10/8.1/x86/x64 RT 8.1 / ARM32 (or no-admin anywhere): download CS-Ray-1.1.0-Setup-AnyCPU.zip,
    extract, run Setup.exe.
  • Portable (any arch): CS-Ray-1.1.0-portable.zip — extract and run CS-Ray.exe.

Supports VLESS, VMess (AEAD), Shadowsocks (AEAD), and SOCKS5/HTTP over TCP / TLS /
WebSocket / XHTTP. REALITY, uTLS, QUIC/Hysteria and friends aren't supported (managed-TLS
ceiling) — such servers import greyed with a reason.

Builds are unsigned — SmartScreen may warn "unknown publisher". Free & open-source
(GPLv3): build it yourself or audit the code.

CS-Ray v1.0.0

A pure-managed C# (.NET Framework 4.7) proxy client with a hand-written
userspace TUN netstack, built specifically for legacy ARM32 Windows —
Windows 10 ARM32 (build 15035) and jailbroken Windows RT 8.1.

Highlights

  • Userspace TUN netstack — fully managed, hand-written; no WinTUN/WinPcap driver required, so it runs on locked-down legacy ARM32 builds.
  • VLESS / VMess outbound support, including VMess UDP.
  • WebRTC leak protection — patches the common IP-leak path so the real address isn't exposed outside the tunnel.
  • Subscription management — import and update server lists from subscription URLs.
  • Latency / delay testing — measure and compare server response times before connecting.
  • MaterialSkin GUI — rebuilt interface for configuration and connection control.

Requirements

  • Windows 10 ARM32 (build 15035) or jailbroken Windows RT 8.1 or X86/x64 windows
  • .NET Framework 4.7

Known limitations

  • Targets legacy ARM32 only; not tested as a general-purpose desktop client.
  • (add anything still rough here — e.g. specific protocols/features not yet implemented)

Notes

This is an early public release. Bug reports and logs are welcome via Issues.

  1. enable allowinsecure for servers using tls in windows 8.1rt (not tested 10 yet), i will fix this in future releases.
  2. run it as admin, after importing and selecting your server .
check full tunnel> start engine> start tun.
