User Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using iVault ("the App"), you agree to be bound by this User Agreement ("Agreement"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
iVault is a secure file encryption application that allows users to:
- Encrypt and store photos, videos, and documents
- Protect files with password or pattern-based encryption
- Share encrypted files in a secure format (.ivault)
- Manage and organize encrypted files in a personal vault
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your encryption passwords and patterns
- You must not share your encryption credentials with unauthorized parties
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You are solely responsible for the content you encrypt and store using the App
- You must ensure that you have the legal right to encrypt and store any content
- You must not use the App to store or share illegal, harmful, or infringing content
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to breach or circumvent the App's security features
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations
The App, including its code, design, graphics, and documentation, is owned by the App developers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain all ownership rights to the content you encrypt and store using the App. The App does not claim ownership of your encrypted files.
- Files encrypted through the App are stored locally on your device
- Encryption keys are managed by you and are not transmitted to our servers
- We do not have access to your encrypted files or encryption keys
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
- User profile information (nickname, avatar, user ID) may be synced via iCloud Key-Value Storage
- Encrypted files are not automatically synced to iCloud unless you explicitly choose to do so
- We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
- The App may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time
- The App may automatically download and install updates
- Updates may include new features, bug fixes, or security enhancements
- Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of any changes
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- SECURITY OR PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES
We do not warrant that the App will be:
- Uninterrupted or error-free
- Free from viruses or harmful components
- Compatible with all devices or operating system versions
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Damage to your device or software
- Security breaches or unauthorized access to your encrypted files
- Any damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App
- IF YOU LOSE YOUR ENCRYPTION PASSWORD OR PATTERN, YOUR ENCRYPTED FILES CANNOT BE RECOVERED
- We do not store or have access to your encryption keys
- We cannot assist in recovering lost passwords or patterns
- You are solely responsible for backing up and securely storing your encryption credentials
We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from:
- Forgotten passwords or patterns
- Device failure or loss
- Accidental deletion
- Software errors or bugs
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the App developers, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of this Agreement
- Your violation of any law or regulation
- Any content you encrypt, store, or share through the App
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if:
- You violate this Agreement
- We are required to do so by law
- We decide to discontinue the App
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App will immediately cease
- All encrypted files remain on your device unless you delete them
- We may delete your user profile information from iCloud after a reasonable period
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App is primarily operated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the updated Agreement in the App
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
- Providing notice through the App's update mechanism
Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Agreement.
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the App and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.
