SlideMuse v2.22.0
Added
- Add
producefor resumable Page Spec image production: immutable original/output/intent/review snapshots, atomic state commits with recoverable output projection, single-page invalidation and protected-evidence composition. - Bind thumbnail geometry to source crops and actual overview pixels; strict selection checks reject padded, incorrectly proportioned internal slides. Legacy outer-canvas checks explicitly remain unverified.
- Allow explicit semantic-to-display coverage so charts can carry claims without repeating every semantic field as literal bullets. Mandatory visible values remain checked; semantic coverage needs actual review.
- Record original/final resolution and explicit upscaling, separate measured phase durations and user waits, and preserve unknown historical timing.
- Reject numeric substring false positives such as treating 132% as the required 32%; keep notes-only changes from invalidating approved images.
- Align both README languages and user guides with role-aware density exceptions instead of a universal bullet quota.
SlideMuse v2.21.0
Changed
- Replace the universal bullet quota with role-aware density defaults and explicit exceptions; reconcile prompts and remove the unsupported total-flow claim from the example.
- Add shared content checks, Page Spec adapters for generation/rebuilding, and hash-bound generated-image observations. These checks do not authenticate sources or prove visual quality.
- Guard generation assembly against unfinished/missing/extra pages, changed images/prompts, stale reviews and aspect-ratio changes; preserve exact embedded image bytes and notes, and retain prior PPTX on failure.
- Keep old frozen Page Specs readable. Legacy generation jobs without a content contract report that content was not checked.
SlideMuse v2.20.0
Added
- Adopt a typed density floor for outlines: every page declares one of 12 layout roles, and every content page carries 3-5 distinct supporting points with per-role required content and a page-budget rule. Revises the previous "no bullet count is judged" statement, which was the main density gap.
- Add the matching Page Spec contract:
slides[].roleaccepts the same 12-value enum andslides[].key_pointsaccepts 3-5 unique non-empty strings. Older drafts and frozen samples without the fields stay readable and are not retroactively certified. - Add a reusable style library: built-in styles ship under
vendor/codex-ppt/skills/codex-ppt/references/, user styles live outside the skill install under${CODEX_PPT_HOME:-~/.codex-ppt-skill}/references/, both are discovered by directory scan, and a same-name user file takes priority. - Integrate the complete pinned codex-ppt image-generation backend under
slidemuse.py generatewithprepare, status, dispatch, result, blocker, assemble, chromaandruntime. Upstream MIT attribution and pinned source hashes are verified bygenerate capabilities --verify-source.
Changed
- The outline gate now requires reporting the outline location, page count, layout-role list and source-image-to-slide mapping, and stating that no slide image or PPTX exists yet. Page Specs, style overviews, generation prompts and final images stay forbidden until the content version is approved.
- Keep the Page Spec route unchanged; the generate backend is an alternative S5 pipeline with its own artifacts. One task uses one source of truth:
slide_jobs.jsonis not apage-spec.json,preparenever calls an image model, and every final slide image still comes from the confirmed host image backend. - Provide
--with-generatefor isolated optional dependencies, andgenerate --offlinefor local job, status, recording, assembly and chroma-key work that ignores user config and credentials.
Fixed
- Mark
scripts/editable_backend.pyandscripts/generate_backend.pyexecutable so Linux runners stop reportingEXE001; both files carried a shebang while committed as100644, which had kept the ubuntu lint step red since the reconstruction backend landed. - Add
requirements-generate.txtto the development requirements so the CI environment installsfilelock; without it the generation-backend tests failed withModuleNotFoundError. - Re-record all vendored source hashes on an LF (git-blob) basis and verify them with newline normalization. The previous CRLF-basis hashes could never match on Linux checkouts, so every
capabilities --verify-sourceintegrity test failed on ubuntu while passing on Windows. - Import
pymupdfdirectly in the vendored PDF normalization instead of the deprecatedfitzshim. Newer PyMuPDF versions print a deprecation warning into captured stdout, which maderebuild preparemisread thedeck_manifest.jsonpath and fail PDF normalization tests. - Accept the standard
fonts-liberationpath in the vendored slide-layout test font lookup so Linux CI runners with that package installed always find a scalable font.
SlideMuse v2.18.0
Added
- An optional
preserve_assetPage Spec contract binds independent evidence images to SHA-256 hashes and exact, aspect-preserving regions in final lossless slides. Validation rejects changed source files, altered evidence pixels, overlaps, cropping and transparent evidence. - Image-deck exports with protected evidence reject downscaling and JPEG re-encoding. The release package includes the validator module and evidence-asset guide.
- Regression cases cover source drift, evidence-pixel changes, surrounding-page edits, aspect ratios, paths, overlap, transparency and preservation in exported PPTX media.
Changed
- Research maps, experiment screenshots and precise charts default to original-asset preservation or data-driven plotting, with generated illustrations explicitly identified as such.
- Production calibrates one representative final slide before continuing, requires complete observations for critical visible text, and separates evidence fidelity, chart geometry and presentation readability checks.
- Timed presentations distinguish planned timing from actual rehearsal and distinguish short prompts from full speaker scripts. New production tasks record generation, failure and repair events as they occur.
Scope
- Pixel checks cover only declared protected regions and do not authenticate the source or validate the underlying research. Existing Page Specs remain compatible and are not retroactively certified.
- Image-based production, the four-style selection workflow and optional editable reconstruction remain supported. Workflow changes do not claim a measured reduction in production time or error rate.
SlideMuse v2.17.0
Added
- A dependency-free
slidemuse.pyentry point for common existing tools, preserving arguments, working directory and pipeline exit codes while selecting the local isolated Python. - Read-only runtime diagnosis with structured JSON, minimum-version and bounded import checks, shared renderer discovery, and actionable repair commands even when dependencies are missing.
- Bilingual CLI documentation, structured bug/feature forms and a pull request template with reproduction, validation and compatibility context.
Changed
- Installation includes the unified entry point and CLI guides; package and relocation regressions exercise the installed commands.
SlideMuse v2.16.3
Changed
- Replace the README hero's transportation cover with Weld Inspect and its architecture slide with the second red-and-gold showcase image, the ceramic restoration process page.
- Keep Snowline Watch in the hero and update both READMEs' descriptions and image cache version for the new selection.
SlideMuse v2.16.2
Changed
- Refresh the bilingual README hero with a light background, prominent SlideMuse wordmark and presentation cards based on the existing transportation, glacier-inspection and manufacturing showcases.
- Include the lossless WebP hero in the release package and update both READMEs to use the same asset.
SlideMuse v2.16.1
Added
- A public six-slide editable IRENA sample with image/native decks, four independent editing exercises, source PDF, portable inputs, before/after previews and a PowerPoint-export comparison video.
- A complete sample archive containing pinned runtime scripts and a reproduction command that checks native objects, embedded chart workbooks and speaker notes.
- Bilingual guides and homepage download links, with historical independent acceptance and current rebuild verification recorded separately.
- The installer includes the public sample when present; packaged-install regression rebuilds all six decks from the installed files.
Scope
- The sample covers selected 2024 statistics and the original 2025 report-time scenario. Edited table/chart pages explicitly identify synthetic values.
- Reproduction starts from approved images and structured inputs. Native fills and chart axes differ visually from the image version as documented.
SlideMuse v2.16.0
Added
- Bounded renderer subprocesses with configurable timeout, limited safe retries and ownership-checked PowerPoint cleanup that preserves pre-existing interactive sessions.
- Automatic render-cache fingerprints for renderer executable bytes, installed fonts, system and Python dependency versions.
- Optional actual PowerPoint text/table bounds and text-overlap diagnostics, cached with page evidence and surfaced as actionable review tasks.
- Six-page real-backend regression controls and a dedicated LibreOffice/Poppler CI job with exported images.
- Append-only production event logs with explicit generation calls, revised pages, measured review time, wall time and preserved first/final delivery outcomes.
Fixed
- A shared BOM-tolerant JSON reader keeps Page Spec, Scene, data bindings and review evidence consistent throughout validation and delivery.
- Visible numeric dependency changes invalidate only the relevant pages and their transitive provenance; unrelated rendered pages and genuinely recorded reviews remain reusable.
Scope
- PowerPoint measurements are diagnostics, not automatic visual approval; grouped/rotated text and chart labels still require visual inspection.
- Production metrics cover explicitly recorded events only; missing times remain unknown, and repaired final success does not erase first-delivery failure.
SlideMuse v2.15.0
Added
- Conservative native text layout estimates in editable compilation, object auditing and delivery scorecards, including individual table cells and grouped objects.
- Page/element-specific Chinese overflow tasks in pipeline summaries and the existing review panel. Explicit current visual review resolves tasks while retaining estimates in reports.
Changed
- Reorganize both READMEs around installation and current capabilities, including speaker notes, linked data updates, resumable delivery, and optional review tooling.
- Document rendering prerequisites, prepared-task CLI usage, output files, and pending-review semantics; remove duplicated installation instructions and the fixed installation-time claim.
- Unresolved inheritance, auto-fit, transformed groups and unsupported text layouts remain explicitly unverified. Estimates neither modify content nor replace actual rendering and visual review.
