@DannyDesignStudio the finger scoops are out in 1.90.0: a Gridfinity bin of 2 height units or more can have one along any of its inner walls, several at once, with one radius for all. Dividers and a solid bin are not in layerling. Reload the page to get it; the installed app needs a restart. |

@DannyDesignStudio the solid bin is out in 1.91.0: a Gridfinity bin has a Floor height, and it is solid up to it, so you can group holes in the shapes of your tools into it. Without the lip it can be a solid block. Dividers are not in layerling. Reload the page to get it; the installed app needs a restart.

@henmedia, dividers are the one part of this request that layerling does not have yet, and I can build them on the shelves, scoops and raised floor already in. Here is the plan:
Here is that bin, built in the CAD kernel the way I would build it: 2 x 1 x 3 units, a finger scoop along the front wall, 3 x 2 compartments:
And cut through, front on the right: the scoop at the wall, the same scoop against the middle divider for the back row, and the rounded corners on the other side of each compartment:
And the same bin from above, back at the top, with a label in each compartment, each set on its own:
If that sounds right to you, I will start. |

Thanks so much, @mlugo-apx and Stefan! I really appreciate you adding this feature. The movable dividers, finger scoops, and labels are exactly what I was hoping for!Verstuurd vanaf mijn iPhoneOp 20 okt 2026 om 18:55 heeft Stefan ***@***.***> het volgende geschreven:
@DannyDesignStudio with this the last part of your request is done: thanks to @mlugo-apx, a Gridfinity bin can be divided into compartments, with dividers you can move one by one, finger scoops against them and a label in each compartment. It is merged and comes with the next release; I will post here when it is out.

I really like the recently added Gridfinity Generator, and I was very happy to see that the text shelf option has now been added as well. It’s fantastic to see Layerling continuing to expand the generator with useful features like this.
I would love to see a few additional options added in the future:
Scoops – to make it easier to access and remove small parts from a bin.
Dividers – with configurable positions, allowing a single bin to be divided into multiple compartments.
Hollow or solid bins – currently, the generator creates hollow bins. An option to generate a completely solid bin would be extremely useful, as it would allow users to create their own custom cutouts for tools, parts, or other objects directly in the software.
Having these options built directly into the Gridfinity Generator, alongside the text shelf, would make it much more versatile. In particular, the solid-bin option would open up a lot of possibilities for creating fully customized Gridfinity inserts without having to start with a model created in external software.
I think these additions would make an already very useful Gridfinity Generator even more powerful and flexible!
