We developers need more control on what is going on under the hood. This app provides the options.

General

This app by default runs a small service program in background, and it puts an icon in system notification area.

If the icon is showing the vault with vscode icon, then auto fill is turned on.

Here you may choose to hide the notification icon.

Or if you don't like background service, turn off it. In this case, the app will only work if the uwp app is running.

Visual Studio Code

Password Autofill: This feature requires the background service running. The service is idle until code.exe become the foreground window. Then it will actively monitor if the password prompt is found. If a password prompt is found and it is asking for password of a known ssh target. it fills in the password.

Keyboard shortcut: The service waits for "Ctrl+V" in Visual Studio Code, then it looks for password prompt. If found, and it is asking for password of a known ssh target. it fills in the password.

Press "Enter": If a known SSH target password is filled, then follow it by an "Enter" key stroke to continue connecting

The passwords are safe
