Driver WMR100

WMR100

Running the WMR100 driver under this one, configured by hand.

Generated by tools/build_drivers.py from the driver as installed on the machine that ran it. Do not edit by hand.

There is a web interface for all of this. It is on by default, and the driver prints its address when WeeWX starts:

What it is

Classees and functions for interfacing with an Oregon Scientific WMR100 station. The WMRS200 reportedly works with this driver (NOT the WMR200, which is a different beast).

The smallest configuration that works

The [WMR100] section belongs to that driver and is read by it, exactly as it would be if it were the only driver WeeWX ran, so weectl device keeps working on it. What goes under [[hardware]] belongs to this one: see Hosted hardware.

Finding it

There is nothing to look up. The driver searches the USB bus for the device itself.

If it does not find it, the usual cause is permissions: WeeWX runs as the weewx user, and a raw USB device belongs to root until a udev rule says otherwise. WeeWX installs those rules for the hardware it supports. Check with:

lsusb

and look for the console in the list. If it is there and the driver still cannot open it, the log says so with the vendor and product number, which is what a udev rule needs.
