HamClock Launcher 4.31

This release bundles HamClock 4.31. The launcher itself is unchanged from 4.30 — this update exists to ship the new HamClock client and its updated User Guide.

What's New in HamClock 4.31

  • APRS support — APRS stations are tracked and drawn on the map, with periodic purging of stale positions
  • HAB and PicoBalloon tracking — follow high-altitude balloon and pico balloon flights alongside your other map data
  • HamAlert integration — surface your HamAlert notifications (requires entering your HamAlert username and password in Setup)
  • New Band Activity pane — see activity across the bands at a glance
  • More X-OTA park highlights in the On The Air pane
  • 630m band support, with the Live Spots menu resizing to fit the band list
  • Rotating titles — separate titles with a semicolon to rotate through as many as six
  • Touchscreen improvements — tooltips now work on touch displays, and OK / Cancel buttons are easier to hit
  • Color-coded WARNING and ERROR messages
  • Updated User Guide covering all 4.31 features, available from the Help menu

Bug Fixes

  • Corrected the X-Ray data source to GOES-18
  • Fixed placement of the config pane
  • Fixed band spacing introduced with 630m; bands are now laid out in four columns
  • APRS colors and menu sizes adjusted; the clock keeps running while a popup is open
  • Shortened an over-long label that did not fit the selection pane

Both builds are signed and notarized — no Gatekeeper workarounds needed. Requires macOS 10.14 or later.

Installing

  1. Download the DMG for your Mac.
  2. Open it and drag HamClock Launcher to your Applications folder.
  3. Launch it, pick a display resolution, and click Start.

No separate HamClock installation is required — the binaries are bundled inside the app.
