FDM Polymers — A Technical Reference ›
Per-table source map for every numbered table in the volume. Appendix D.6 is the ledger in the source→claim direction (a versioned source and the claims that depend on it); this page is the map in the table→source direction (a table and the basis, provenance state, and volatility of what it asserts). Together they answer the audit question the volume's own D.2 caveat raises: which values can be tied to an exact source revision, and which are traceable only to a vendor domain and retrieval window. check-cross-references.py fails if any table caption lacks a manifest row or any row lacks a table.
Provenance vocabulary. versioned — a specific document version or identifier is recorded in D.6. ledgered — the source is a D.6 row, but no version exists or was recorded (product pages, catalog listings). domain+window — manufacturer or resin TDS data per the D.2/D.3 domains, retrieved in the stated window; the original document revision was not recorded and is generally not recoverable. bench — author-measured on the B.1 reference setup. synthesis — consolidates other in-volume sections or tables and inherits their provenance. standards — sources identified by stable standard numbers (D.4).
Volatility. stable — chemistry and physics; does not drift. process — vendor process windows and property envelopes; drifts slowly with reformulation. market — brands, SKUs, prices, availability; drifts fast. regulatory — tracks rule-making; re-check on the D.5 cadence.
Maintenance duty. When a volatile table is re-verified: update its Checked cell here, and add or refresh the corresponding D.6 row (URL or document identifier, version if shown, check date) — the repository commit history is the record of each pass. A domain+window row upgraded with a recorded version becomes versioned.

The manifest states provenance; it does not upgrade it. Rows marked domain+window inherit the D.2 caveat in full — the original TDS revision was not recorded during compilation and is generally unrecoverable — and the re-verification path is forward-looking: check the live source, record it in D.6, update the row. Rows marked synthesis are only as current as the sections they consolidate. Checked dates: "May 2026" is the compilation window; "July 2026" means the table was created, corrected, or source-verified during the July 2026 review passes (itemized in the repository commit history); bench rows carry the measurement window.
